He’s got a lot more range, and generally, with the big left field out there, managers since TBIA opened have wanted the better defender to play left. The exception is when the guy with less range doesn’t have the arm to handle RF (see, i.e., the Cat).

What is the Mariners bullpen situation like?
Baek is having to pitch a lot and its just now the 5th inning. I can’t imagine that they leave him in for too much longer unless he starts doing a lot better than that.
