has every game thus far had at least two game day threads?

Silverlight
I’m tempted to try it out. It would probably be worth eating a month subscription even if it didn’t work that well. It seems OK when looking at highlights on MLB.com, but I have no idea what a full game stream would do to me.
by MeanMr.Mustard on May 12, 2008 9:07 PM CDT 0 recs
It's worked for me
Media player tended to stop to buffer and would occasionally lose the game altogether… also, the newest version, if another window came up the screen would turn black and if I moved the window with media player in it a bit, the picture would come back.

It's pretty good
If you can get it working immediately. Lots and lots of people having problems with it.
Following the game @ 1.2M looks great, but will leave you behind in the game as compared to the rest of the gameday thread. If that matters to you.

Depends...
on what speed you’re using.
800k seems to be real time.

I'm on 400K
Too cheap to get 800K or 1.2M and my DSL seems to be not so great… although with silverlight being smoother, maybe it would be worth the upgrade now.

At this point
I just want to be able to see or hear the games. Delays aren’t really a big deal to me.
Like I said, Silverlight’s worked OK for me on the freebie highlight vids, so I hopefully wouldn’t experience the issues you’re referring to.

It’s got a lot of great info, but I actually can’t run the gameday, TVants, and MLB audio all at the same time.

I'm starting to think
Maybe, just maybe, if the starter gives up a bunch of runs in the first inning and then recovers to throw four scoreless… DON’T SEND HIM OUT FOR THE SIXTH.

I don't mind
You have to try and spare your bullpen any time you can have your starter go out and pitch an extra inning. As long as someone is ready to go at the first sign of trouble, I can live with that decision.
