Seattle @ Texas
Kason Gabbard v. King Felix...
Gabbard isn't exactly a workhorse, but with the bullpen taxed pretty heavily the past week, we need innings from him today...
Go Rangers...

don't mean anything at all
and there’s no point. just pulling this out…
since april 26 (salt’s first game this season):
the rangers are 11-5.
5-4 in games with salty.
6-1 in games without him.

last year
just records in games played (don’t have time just right now)
record after the rangers traded for salty:
with salt – 22-25
with laird – 19-13
melhuse – don’t care

now the interesting stat
would be w/ salty on the roster and w/ salty not on the roster the last 2 years.
when laird is the lone starter the rangers suck. woohoo.

i think its completely random.
no one player has nearly enough impact for any of these win/loss stats to be relative.
well aside from a teams record with a starting pitcher on the mound, but even that can be way off.

yeah
and if you look at starting pitching, they’ve pitched well with salty. everybody but jennings going 5+ innings.
but there are too many variables.
salty isn’t hitting as good as laird—so far
their places in lineups
etc..

good news on bradley
a few days of cat for bradley shouldnt be too crushing.
hank possibly coming back this weekend? for some reason i was still thinking like 2-3 weeks.
id really like to see the retooled lineup with both hank and bradley in it on the weekend, could start looking quite nice.

In the kids restaurant in centerfield
they always sell “kiddie” dogs for $1.50 (used to be $1 last year)
They’re supposed to be for kids, but they’re not gonna refuse to sell them to you.
