OT Rays Extend Kazmir
I know he's had injury problems, but I think that for the first time ever, the Rays are starting to make some solid desicions. If they could get a few young guys in the bullpen (ie a closer), they could be set for the next 10 years. That lineup with Crawford, Longoria, Upton, and others to go along with the starting staff of Kazmir, Shields, Garza, and Jackson is going to be great. I'm sure everyone outside of New York, Baltimore, and Toronto is gonna love watching the Red Sox and Rays going off for the AL East Title for years to come.

Just wondering
As per your name, where is your family from?
Also, I agree with your assessment.

you probably already know because you have an indian girlfriend brett, but to the rest of you, in my opinion (even though I’m probably biased) indian girls are some hottest girls on the planet.

I am
a terrible listener, but I don’t think they told us..
The people walked around and told me “are you allowed to use pencil?”. Since they aren’t supposed to tell me what to do, because that would be “cheating”.
The essay topics were so lame.

my p’s are from AP. Know the right places to go in India and it’s absolutely beautiful. If not, then get ready to hold your breath. The plane ride is fine if you went by Lufthansa or Emirates, but if u go by Air India, i feel your pain…

You know, it never ceases to amaze me the things you can pick up on LSB
I clicked in to check out the diary about the Rays and Kazmir, and I left knowing which international airlines I should avoid if I ever decide to travel the world.
Gotta love these random discussions that pop up around here. ;)

I really like...
what the Rays are doing. This is a solid deal for them. Look at what FA starters are getting right now. I realize the guy has been injury prone, but when healthy he can be one of the toughest guys to face in the league. To get that for less than 10 mil a year is a bargain imo.

Given the amount of suffering that the Ray's fans had to endure
those who have stuck with the team for the whole 10 years must feel like they’ve finally made it to the washroom.
They are making some smart moves right now; best of luck to them.

Rays GM is a beast
i’ve liked what they’ve been doing for a while now (Really since Friedman was promoted). Although, watching them build a team, one has to be that much more impressed about what JD has done here with Hicks putting pressure on him day in and day out for a playoff team. And, JD has given what Hicks wants (competitive atleast) and a great future with the players he’s acquired. Friedman on the other hand has had no pressure, had the luxury of being a big time losing team and getting 1st picks overall every year (that’s what it seems like anyways). If JD had the luxury of doing that, the CY and Danks trades would have never happened and this team would have been hellaciously good in the next few years and for the next decade. Of course, that can still happen, but just not as fast as it should have been…
Anyways, i’m happy for Friedman and the Rays and what they are doing so far this year in the AL East…

we got a good solid College infielder like Drew Meyer rather than waste a pick on a risky High School Pitcher like Kazmir.
