Stros defence

can be incredibly shoddy.

Kaz Matsui,.Tejada, Lee is sometimes a liability while carrying weight, Wiggy’s all right but had a bad defence-wise spring.

But overall they’re not bad.

Sounds like our defense

Kinsler has tremendous ability at 2B, but is error-prone… Mike Young has ZERO range at SS… our OF defense has been pretty good, though.

Because of the value of the position, Ham > A-Rod in terms of tools and talent.

Range, speed, throwing arm?

I think it’s a tougher defensive position than SS, as far as how many tools you routinely have to use. Just my opinion, but I know A-Rod’s bat as SS was technically more valuable than Ham’s in CF.
