That would be...
pretty terrible.

I'll never live that down.
Of all the reputations to have around here, though, I guess it’s not the worst I’ve seen.
About to be...
1 1/2 games back of second place.
Goodness.

So
how’s the Astros bullpen looking now. No Villareal, Wright, or Borkowski guaranteed. They better hope their SP doesn’t get bombed again

Shelton
doesn’t he have reverse splits? I wouldn’t mind letting him get some games in against RHP. He is considered a strong defensive player, is he not?
His career #'s
Show he actually hits better vs. RHP.

My story
In 2003, I was an Expos fan when there was talk about Vladimir Guerrero possibly signing with the Orioles, I went over to an Orioles board to talk about it. I stayed around to discuss the angle about relocation dealing with Peter Angelos’ opposition to a team in DC. Starting in December of 2004, Ponson got himself involved in several off the field problems and he began being attacked on the Orioles board. I felt that a lot of the criticism was very mean spirited, so I started defending him. After he got cut by the Orioles, he went to St. Louis in 2006 and I followed him, going to a Cardinals board, and I’ve continued to follow the Cardinals even after he got cut by them. He was briefly a Yankee, then was out of baseball until the Twins signed him last year. He didn’t last through May with them before being DFA’d again. Now that he’s a Ranger, I’ve been lurking here. I posted a pic of me and Sidney in Seattle earlier.

That pic was
cool. Thanks for that.
But…don’t ever root for the POS yankees.

Interesting
Thanks for sharing.

A good player when he wasn’t beating himself.

HWC
That was about the only way this game could have ended up with me being satisfied after blowing a 6-run lead.

Well, that was entertaining
Never expected Josh to get that last PA, but the drama getting him there was awesome.
best game of the year?
sucks for the 2-0 type shutout victories, but that was more fun.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
thanks for stopping by, J...
...i want you guys to succeed this year… and not for McLane…
but, i just don’t want you guys to beat us.
you’ve had your run at glory.

I like Max Power better
but neither of us will get our wish.
He’s Hambone and I doubt much could change that.

Let's see...
Josh Hamilton = MVP
David Murphy = Rookie of the year
Doug Mathis = Cy Young?
II Cor. 4:17-18
Scott Feldman 2.0 = Cy Young
If his defense will cooperate, that is.

CY Young already wrapped up...
in both leagues?
Lee in the AL and Webb in the NL. Still a ways to go, but those two look amazing right now.

At least
Webb.
Will EV be in the discussion?
by brettgardner on May 17, 2008 9:19 AM CDT up reply actions
I forgot about EV...
he would have to be in the discussion, but I don’t think anyone believes he will keep doing what he’s doing right now.
Webb on the other hand, has shown that he can maintain what he is doing now. Although I don’t expect him to go 29-0 either.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
No
But 23-24 wins is easily attainable. He’s been my favorite pitcher in baseball since he came up, and he’s really not doing anything now that he hasn’t been doing for the past 5 or so years.

Concur...
not sure about “easily”, but I could see him going 23/24 – 5/6 with a sub 3.00 ERA and a WHIP of 1.1 or so. The guy is that good.

It's easy
When you’re really good, and the team around you is pretty good as well.

So
Wright gets the loss and Wright gets the win… and then they get together and make an airplane?
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Great game...
Hamslam now has 2 more RBI this year (49) than he had all last year (47). It may be a overrated stat, but that is still pretty cool.
MY with a clutch hit and then actually pulled a ball for a HR. Salty hit a bomb. Kinsler with 3 BB’s and a triple. Even Murphy and Shelton went deep. Jack also had a very nice inning. We really need him (and BGL) to pitch well out of the pen.
