Didn't know where this goes...

Pujols took out Chris Young and Josh Bard in the same inning last night. Maybe Laird is looking more valuable, now. I suck at computers, so here is where you can find the video. No link for you.

don't

think Bard was really on the market and the Padres aren’t looking to compete so I doubt they care much to trade a lot for a catcher. They might be a bit more hesitant to trade Barrett, but that’s about it

by Gdawg1 on May 22, 2008 11:36 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Hope Young's ok.

That was gruesome. I think it freaked Pujols out too.

Added gruesomeness

Seeing Gonzalez and Young in the same frame.

I started crying while writing that.

Go Strangers.

Boggs

He is going to have a big game today. Does San Diego have any good prospects?

by BillyBobisdrunk on May 22, 2008 11:33 AM CDT   0 recs

Hamilton...

Huge game today for Josh (I know, really going out on a limb there). 4-5 two monster HR’s over the Baggie today and 6 RBI.

by Topgun22 on May 22, 2008 11:37 AM CDT   0 recs

Murph

will be the man today. And I have a good nick name for Kinsler… Ikky.

HAHA!

Josh was not in the lineup initially…when he arrived at the ballpark and didn’t see his name on the card, he stormed into RonWash’s office and demanded to play!

BEASTICON!!!!!!!!!!!!

...it's the weekend, so why the hell not?

by Rodney on May 22, 2008 11:46 AM CDT   0 recs

That's not exactly what Wash just said

But yeah, Josh straightened it out.

OKC game

Hurley is ducking his head under his arms during his wind-up for the first time in Jim Byers’ memory. So, he’s trying some new things it sounds like.

Also, AJ Murray’s next start was unexpectedly moved up from Saturday to Friday. This effects Tejeda and Nippert’s availability, too. Wonder if this means a move is being considered.

Tea has a 13-game hitting streak alive after a 2nd inning single. Threw a dude out, too.

Mike Nikeas is catching for New Orleans. Wonder if Nikeas caught Hurley at Spokane a long long time ago?

by shroomer on May 22, 2008 11:52 AM CDT   0 recs

Yes....

I believe some pitchers do that in order to help them slow down the top half in order locate the ball down in the zone better.

Hey shroom….... sidebar, aka stl says hello….. been a while…. :-)

by sidebar54 on May 22, 2008 12:03 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Having a hard time envisioning the "ducking his head under his arms", can someone

clarify? Does that mean he’s raising his arms higher, or dipping down with his legs while keeping his arms at the same height? Does it change the arm slot/angle?

Sweet Tea, too bad he may never see Arlington.

Friday would be Harrison’s normal day in the rotation if Frisco didn’t have an off day.

Murph – leads in doubles
Kinsler – leads in runs
Hammy – leads in RBIs.
Rangers lead in HRs

That’s not too shabby.

He doesn’t want Padilla to get too cold out there, so he needed to make the third out so Padilla could actually go out to the mound.
