Hank Blalock to Stay on DL

He could, however, be a reporter because he now has been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in his right wrist. So Blalock is NOT in the lineup and is NOT activated for tonight's game. He is, however, extremely frustrated.
"I feel like I lead the league in syndromes," Blalock said. "I'm just confused. All I want to do is get out there and play baseball."
Chris Shelton is at first base tonight. More to come.

Surgery
I’ve associated surgery with Carpal Tunnel, any way that he can avoid it?

I had it a few years ago.
It really is not that big a deal. I had to wear a wrist brace that is similar to what a bowler would wear. It went away in a few days.
