No Hank today
Hank Blalock isn't being activated today because he has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
That's it. I've got nothing to add there.

weird
if it’s keeping him out of the game today, shouldn’t it be “complications from CTS”?
Was he just recently diagnosed or what?
Maybe it’s the hangover, but I’m really confused.
seriously?????
are we kidding here? carpel tunnel? isn’t that what computer nerds get?

Yeah, it sucks
when you have to masturbate with your non-dominant hand, and keep having to stop to move and click the mouse.

Carpal Tunnel
A common factor in developing carpal tunnel symptoms is increased hand use or activity and repetitive activities are often blamed for the development of CTS.
Those damn twistoffs!!!!

10, 9, 8, 7....
until someone with capal tunnel calls you a bunch of ignorant assholes.
What happened to my old signature?
Longer than that
They will have to put on their wrist braces, get their ergo keyboard out, and do their exercises with that little hand squeezy thingy. The lady next to me at work does that every morning and it takes her a good 10 minutes to get going.

Caused by
repetitive hand movement you say?
Has Hank been playing with Little Hank a little too much in his DL time?

Hank hanging around Bmac?
In February, Brandon McCarthy posted a lenghty response to an ESPN article about politics and a baseball clubhouse. (This eventually led to BGL’s departure from our fair berg.)

Nothing wrong with Hank
This is an injury to Washington’s brain.
When Hank volunteered to move to 1st we shoulda known what was up. Wash likes Vasquez and told Hank he wouldn’t have the starting 3rd base job when he came back. Hank offers to move to first if he can stay in the everyday lineup, but that means showing he can handle the position and moving Cat.
Once again Wash decides to ride the hot bat of a guy who has established over many years he is not a quality ML hitter at the expense of someone who can have some real value, either as a piece of a championship team or a trading chip.
That's ridiculous...
Yeah Wash went to Hank and said he wouldn’t have a job when he came back.
Come on.
Wash won’t even let Vazquez start against lefties because he’s letting Duran do that, but he will let him start over Hank. I want some of what you are smoking.

Vasquez
The guy is having a career year (to put it mildly) and is playing steady defense. Meanwhile, 1B is a black hole.
Anyway, Blalock is not George Brett. This team, for some reason, has a knack of acquiring aging journeymen (Byrd, Matthews, Jr.) and turning them into decent hitters. Vasquez looks real to me. A legit hitter. And it wouldn’t be the first time he’s had a decent year, either. Look at his first two years with San Diego. Not much power, but he got on base.
Decent solution for now, and Blalock isn’t a very good 3B so it makes sense to move him.

Tough for me
to absolutely swear that Vazquez isn’t the latest in the long line of Dellucci, GMJ, DeRosa, etc. career spares who will have a hot year or 2. Considering it really doesn’t seem to cost us much long term, because I don’t see anyone impacted who is part of the Rangers long term plans, I don’t see the reason for all the fuss.
Is anyone really going to lose sleep if we lose a Cat or a Shelton over this?
Sharky said it, I believe it, that settles it
