I'm flying into Love Field next Friday around 1PM and need to head towards Corsicana on I-45. What is the best route to get from Love Field to I-45? Any major road construction in the area?

If you've never driven around here....

...it would be easier to take Mockingbird east to Central Expressway and avoid the oddball downtown interchanges from IH35. Plus, the tollway does have construction at the very south end of it. The construction doesn’t appear to slow things down much but there seems to be a lot of wrecks there, which I would assume is an indirect result of the construction. I know I avoid that area when I can.

I don’t think the Central Exwy (US75) would take much longer.

Much Obliged

It has been about twenty years since I have driven around the downtown area. Since it had been that long, I was just wondering what to avoid or if there were any shortcuts.

I use to drive from Denison to Corsicana on US75/I45 alot, so I’m familiar with Mockingbird and US75.

Thanks for the advice.
