Oh well. The Series Streak was Well Done.

Nah...
...he’s still healthy
I guess it was the beatings made me wise. But I'm not about to give thanks, or apologize.
well, teams were 1 for their last 17 in this park
1 for 3 isnt all that bad i guess.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
how have they only
scored five? How many walks is that? Nine? Ugh we are not contenders. Sell JD sell at the deadline.
Codswallop
hootenanny, kerfuffle, tallywhacker, tomfoolery.
...and curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid git.
this is a .500 team
and not a real contender. The sooner LAA pulls away the better off we’ll be for the future. Our pitching staff, especially the bullpen isn’t good enough to carry us in the playoffs.
Cliff Floyd
How do we keep walking a guy that just wants to go back the dugout and finish his cheeseburger?
I guess it was the beatings made me wise. But I'm not about to give thanks, or apologize.
Just pulled this up...
Floyd now has 7 walks in 64 plate appearances this season. Four of them have come since yesterday.
I guess it was the beatings made me wise. But I'm not about to give thanks, or apologize.
Is Garza done after 98 pitches?
Maybe we can get to their bullpen.

Got some stuff from the ESPN chat...
Stick Man (Sticksville): What about the rumor that Nolan Ryan is pushing for the Rangers to grab Cashner at #11? Wouldn’t that be a pretty big reach?
Jim Callis: (2:09 PM ET ) That would be a reach. Cashner has put up big numbers on radar guns all spring, but his command and second pitch (a slider that's nifty at times) are inconsistent. I think whoever takes him will try to make him a starter, and he was just so-so in that role in junior college.
Ben in Dallas: Does Josh Hamilton deserve to startin the Allstar game?
Jim Callis: (2:52 PM ET ) Easily.
Chris (Birmingham, AL): More unlikely story – Josh Hamilton or Rick Ankiel?
Jim Callis: (2:53 PM ET ) Hamilton. The guy missed nearly 4 1/2 years and had major drug problems.
Brett (Lexington, KY): Bruce or Hamilton?
Jim Callis: (2:56 PM ET ) Bruce.
But he is projected to bat 1.000
with 222 RBI, 222 BB, 111 SB, 333 H, 222 R, and a 2.333 OPS

yeah
but you said trade him after 07. If you wanted him to be gone at the deadline last year, I’m sure JD was listening since he was in all-sell mode and that there weren’t any good offers.
but that was my point in the last post
RP with only one good year aren’t highly touted in the offseason when there are FA RP that can be bought and teams have other options that they would like to try out before trading a good prospect or two.
He's signed to a cheap contract
the best time to trade him would probably have been immediately aftewrwards
Wish...
...I was at Fado’s.
I guess it was the beatings made me wise. But I'm not about to give thanks, or apologize.
I think we might have a shot...
...I bet half of England’s squad is still hungover from Moscow.

Not very high
17-18 something like that

Just sleepy enough
to score

i wouldnt mind being woken up with a run or two rangers.
1 in the 8th, 2 in the 9th, 1 in the 10th.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
Garza has been great thus far
That TB rotation looks filthy for years to come…and they have David Price a few years away.
rangers seem to get stuck
at .500. can’t get above it

NIXON: NOW MORE THAN EVER
Question?
Does anyone know how many games we have had a lead in at some point? Is there a place to find obscure stats like that?
I'm sure we're about average with the rest of the league.

kazmir 0 for'd him
which isnt too bad.
2 for 5 yesterday.
0 for whatever today.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
Garza
Filthy. Young shouldn’t have swung at a single one of those pitches.

Did anyone see that hip hip hippie in the stands right before commercial?
I could smell him from here.

Pizza
The broadcasters just said all Ray’s fans get a free Papa Johns pizza because the Rays got 10 k’s….
I worked
At Papa John’s during high school and during college breaks. You don’t want it.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
I remember the Chalupa chants at Mavs Games
ad how Najera had an uncanny ability to put the team over the needed 100 points
I remember a sign
for Wang Zhu Zhu’s first game that said “English Lesson: CHA-LU-PA” always made me laugh

This team
hasn’t really had any dramatic 9th inning come back wins since Hammy’s 9th inning slam off of Putz has it?
Hitler is only offensive on Memorial Day...
then KKK must only be offensive close to black history month….it was a reach, I admit
im resigned to defeat.
but the rays are decent its an ok way to end the win streak.
we shall have to sweep the home series to make up for it.
Gerald Laird is my hero.

Umps
It seems this crew has been really incosistent (Thanks Joe!). One day a guy is squeezing the pitchers, today the strikezone is huuge. I know the hitters and pitchers need to adjust, but this is rediculous.

Good news for Gameday watchers?
They actually had that last pitch updated before I heard it on the radio…now that is proficient
good god that was a brutal called 3rd strike on Boggs
that didn’t look remotely close to the eye in real time, much less on the tracker
How far do you think
I can jam a cowbell up someone’s ass? I’m curious to find out.

between taht and the Bradley drive that was caught by gross, that should have been a big inning.
I remember someone saying they'd be happy with a .500 roadtrip here...
And we got it.
And we didn’t get shut out…
You mean .....
You mean …. we lost to Kramer ?

Well
Against the best team in the AL on the road, the Rangers played them OK once, tough once and crushed them once. All in all, it’s all good.
