Jennings out for the season
Per TR Sullivan:
Pitcher Jason Jennings is the latest Ranger to undergo surgery. Jennings underwent surgery on Friday on his right flexor tendon and is out for the season.

I find this to be good news, because Jennings sucked this year, and meant nothing in our long term plans. I'd rather have Feldman, Mathis, Tejeda or anybody else out there on the mound than Jennings for the second half. It's funny though: the best offseason signing (of a pitcher anyway) this year for JD turned out to be Sidney Ponson. Now who saw that coming?
Another thought I'm adding on an edit here: what do we do about getting Jenning's ass off the 40-man roster? Release him? I don't see the point in keeping him on the 60 day DL, since he's only under contract for this season.

I feel sorry for Jennings and hoped this would be another sign and flip story for the Rangers. I wonder if we included any games pitched provisions in his contract that limit the amount of money we owe him.
At least we know now that something was still wrong and there’s a chance that he still has a major league career ahead of him.
Of course you'd find this to be good news
You enjoy watching baseball players get injured because if you don’t like them, it doesn’t even matter what team they play for.
