PrintWe now have confirmation that A-Rod is in fact a pussy. He apparently passed out during the birth of his daughter back in 04. I guess the aftermath of the colossal collapse they made to the Sox in the ALCS in combination with watching his daughter being born was too much for him. So while his wife is working her ass off trying to birth their daughter he's on the floor with a towel on his head moaning.

I actually didn’t and will ignominiously retract my labeling of him.
However, I won’t fault MY for JD handing him an albatross contract, nor for him complaining about “rebuilding,” nor for him offering his opinion on the construction of the roster, nor for having the personality of a paper clip. I don’t take issue with any of that—but if CM got a rise out of people with that, power to him. I remember ARod fondly, fwiw.
I do wonder, though, who he is referring to when he said: “the double standard of fans in regards to ARod/FOTF.” Perhaps he feels that is the general sentiment—I really don’t know, but I doubt it is the general sentiment of this board.

Or ARod.
But I do believe that the general sentiment is that ARod is a money grubbing prick who should be hanged by the nearest yard arm while Young is viewed as a team leader and all around good guy even though they are VERY similar. I also believe that is the sentiment here on this board, in the media, and of the fan base in general.

I was lucky. Since mine were born via c-section, they made me sit behind a drape which prevented me from seeing the actual birth. Without a doubt, that’s one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me … or my wife.

My time is coming in late July
I’m being held behind the draping by the lady though, she has more of a problem with me seeing “that area” during birth than I do.
We agreed I would look when the head was fully out. Of course, it could be C-Section though, so who knows.
I’d incredibly excited.
In case I haven’t mentioned it since I made the initial announcement, we’re having a baby girl.

Here's an unsolicited bit of advice.
Get the book “On Becoming Babywise.” Great stuff in there on how to structure your baby’s days and nights (without rigidly adhering to a schedule) which promotes sleeping through the night. Worked wonders for my twins.
It’s a wonderful adventure you’re about to embark on, enjoy every minute of it. They really do grow up fast.

Just FYI
at the hospital my daughter was born at if it’s a natural birth they don’t use a draping. They only do that for C-Sections. The only option they provide is if the Mom wants to use a mirror or not to watch the birth.

to pass out at the birth of a child. My daughter who’s 8 is not mine by birth, but I have raised her since she was 2 and consider her my daughter.
My wife and I have been trying to have another child for about a year now. I hope that I get the chance to pass out (as I probably will) and be called a pussy.

Passing out wasn't the lead to me
This was:

He bases his life partner on her commitment to “doing her abs?” Now that’s what quality relationships are made of. Alex—there’s a really good chance that those abs won’t look like that when death do you part.
