Stars V. Red Wings Game One Western Conference Finals

PrintTonight at 7:30 ET! The game is being broadcast nationally on VS.
This is a rematch of the west finals from 10 years ago. It also began what will be a lifelong hatred for the Detroit Red Wings.
Some story lines:
Turco has finally shook off the mantle of "Playoff Choke Artist" with his brilliant play in goal these playoffs. The guy looks determined in net.
Opposing Turco is the same man in net for the Red Wings that was there ten years ago, Chris Osgood. I'd love to see the Modano, Ribiero, Lehtinen line just blow up in this series. I also expect continued good play from Zubov, Morrow, and Richards.
Anyhow, LET'S GO STARS!

They've been
doing the same thing the last 2 series. Lots of power plays in the first. Only this time, Det is capitalizing.

I don't feel bad about this game at all
Turco was screened on 2 of 4 goals, while another goal was the result of goalie interference with that jackass in the crease … wtf?
Yes, Detroit was more physical, but I highly doubt the Stars will be outplayed badly in game 2. Just need Daley and some of those defenders to CLEAR the crease and move out bodies. It’s really that simple—the final score was misleading.
