Hurley needs a good start.

I disagree on the idea that he needs a good start. He’s 22, not all that experienced in the upper minors and seem to be working on somethings. Maybe some of us need him to have a good start because we need something to believe in as far as future starters on this year, but right now, Eric Hurley needs to do nothing but to pitch his game, and not get hurt.

could someone explain to me how he’s not with the A’s right now. I know Emil Brown got off to a good start with RBI’s, but it seems like he and Cust have to be the worst tandem COF as far as defense goes. Plus, I thought Buck looked pretty good last year.

From what I could tell

He still wasn’t a popular pick. For several of us the fact that he went 35 instead of 17 or 24 definitely made it more palatable, but my recollection is that there was still a lot of complaining and a lot of writing him off.

Seemed like

people took their fear of him being picked at 17 or 24 and just kept it when he went at the more palatable 35, as if he just wasn’t a good pick anywhere. It will be interesting to see who this year’s bogeyman will be.
