Kinsler is a statue up there, he really only moves if something is coming at his head. He is a really tough guy.

It's too bad

that we don’t have a major league caliber hitter in the nine hole. We could have used that 8th run.

MY

strikes out, guess you can’t score a gajillion runs in one inning.

by Gdawg on Jun 1, 2008 3:58 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I consider the inning a failure

Someday we will learn, to get those runners home from third

by SaltyGoesYard on Jun 1, 2008 3:58 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Just out of curiosity...

How often do you think the average team gets a runner home from third with less than two outs?

by Adam J. Morris on Jun 1, 2008 4:00 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Would be uncivilized.

But we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard than just the league average.

I had been hearing that Frisco has good crowds.

Is it just because the Rangers are playing at the exact same time, or is there always just 2 people sitting behind the plate.

by Ranger Capt on Jun 1, 2008 4:01 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

It is often a bit sparse behind home plate

They call those seats “founders club” or something, and the folks who hold them seem to miss a lot of games.

because our manager sucks.

and he is the cause of us having a bad record in day games and closing out sries…

How many times in the final game of a series has Washington thrown out just a riciculous lineup….

or like today sticks a pitcher into a hold situation instead of using a more reliable choice.

I am sick of his crap.

by clinton33 on Jun 1, 2008 4:25 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

alright look

The decision to go to Wright was not a bad decision. How Wright pitched was bad but hes been pretty good for us this year. Now the decision to leave him in as long as he did and the decision to go to Ribinson freaking Tejeda with the bases loaded are not ones I am going to argue with you about. Those were horrible.

by bigsteve on Jun 1, 2008 4:28 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I didn't see the game, but...

unless Feldman was sore, tired, injured, etc, he should have come back out for the 7th. 85 pitches. That’s a good PC after 6 innings and he should’ve worked into the 7th. If our bullpen is going to be this shitty, bring up Diamond and Madrugal now.

Ron, why would you bring in a pitcher that has just been called up and has a history of control problems into a game with the bases loaded in critical situation?

are position players that have already been removed

from the game allowed to come in and pitch. Basically, what are the odds we will get to see Chris Shelton pitch and todays game not be a complete waste.

What is a good situation for him

at this point. If he’s on the team, he has to have a role. If you can’t get one batter otu when you’re facing the Oakland’s As bottom of the order, you don’t deserve to be here.

by FirebatM3 on Jun 1, 2008 4:42 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Not

when there are no outs and the game is starting to slip away. You bring him in to start the 7th inning after the Rangers already got a safe lead and have another guy ready to take over if he doesn’t look as good as his OKC stats say

by Gdawg on Jun 1, 2008 4:43 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Benoit and Eddie

if they are unavailable, the only guy left would be Franky. Who’s frankly been the most inconsistent member of the pen.

At this point, I would have rather seen Doug Mathis out there.

by FirebatM3 on Jun 1, 2008 4:44 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

FX2

who has been very good at stranding runners this season would be my go-to guy. Rupe would have been a better option even since he at least isn’t having his first ML outing since last year. Personally, I would have just stuck with Feldman and had FX2 ready to go if he allowed 2 base runners on that inning.

by Gdawg on Jun 1, 2008 4:47 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Sticking with Feldman

would probably have been the way to go.

Frankie has been pretty average at stranding runners this season, actually.

30-something pitches is a lot for Fx2 to be throwing in two innings, and that would keep him unavailable for a few days as is… how many outs did Washington expect Fx2 to be able to get?
