Four Rangers Starters in the All-Star Game?
Tim Kurkjian seems to think so:

It would be nice to see. Looks like even though Kinsler will not be voted in, he'll make it to New York. I don't see how Bradley is left out, but finding representatives from all teams might squeeze him.
Looks like Hamilton will start. I wonder how many more times we will to hear about his personal challenges if he is indeed the starter?

I like the comment Kurkjian
makes about Bradley. That he is quietly leading in a number of offensive categories this year. It’s almost like he put that in there on purpose, as to say “Bradley has improved himself this year, as a player and as a person”
Go Vote for Kinsler, Young, Hamilton, Bradley and write in Murphy. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2008/ballot_reg.html - Vote up to 25 times on as many email accounts as you can think of!

Funniest Part
i dont think MY makes it.

I think it is more likely Young makes it
as opposed to one of Kinsler or Bradley. Just name recognition and a generally weak position overall. At 2b there is Brian Roberts, and in the OF there are lots of guys.
Isn’t it player voting for the 1st backup at each position? So Young will probably make it in that way definitely (Hamilton is probably 100% because of this). I’d like to hope that the AL players recognize that Bradley is on top of the leaderboards and Kinsler is a stud, but who knows…

This is retarded
Milton has the highest OPS in the AL, 1.082.
2nd place is J.D. Drew, of all people, at .993.
This isn’t even close. 1.082 – .993 = 89 basis points. That’s a lot.

Pronk
If I’m not mistaken, there was a season or two in there where Hafner was way out in front in OPS, but didn’t make the ASG at all.

was it a year
where the asg was in an NL park where there’s no DH?
even if it’s in the AL, ortiz would probably always get in before him and they wouldn’t have a backup DH.
i know that bradley is really a DH this year (though he’s on the ballot as an OF) but he’s played a dozen games in the field already. more than hafner would do over a whole season.
but if hafner was the best hitter…by a lot (like bradley is) then he should end up in the game somehow

i would hope
that if both keep up the pace (not likely) that bradley and hamilton finish 1-2 in mvp voting.
being a barry bonds fan, i loved it when he and bobby bonilla as teamates finished 1-2 in 1990…and then 2-3 in 1991 (terry pendleton won it???

bradley, hamilton, kinsler
it would be a joke if none of them made it.
also, SS is so weak that MY is deserving and he has the name recognition and the recent long hitting streak.

Nice to see...
Kurkjian give the Rangers some love.
He’s one of the few guys on ESPN I can tolerate.
