Josh Hamilton and David Murphy?

They looked HOT, I got to say hi to Hammy amongst the throngs of admirers with Sports Illustrateds in their hands and the Murph was Mr. Home Run in batting practice.

Kins is the cutest Ranger.. IMO

Random Stat

Watching Red Sox Reds game, and they just brought up a stat that Okajima has allowed 78% of inherited runners to score…..and we thought German was bad at letting inherited runners scored.

I'd love to see...

something like an 18-1 butt-kicking of the Mets just to trigger the Willie Randolph hysteria anew. Funny, the NY papers are saying he better sweep the Rangers.

As I suspected, Ron Washington decided to keep David Murphy in the lineup Friday against Oliver Perez because his “gut” told him to.

we need

an algorithm to manage the rangers. something that won’t make decisions based on guts or faces.

by tangiers on Jun 14, 2008 6:38 PM CDT up reply actions

WTF was he

supposed to say? “Perez owns Byrd’s ass! Boggs really sucks lately, at everything. I’m started Murphy because he is soooo awesome!”

Man, get a fucking clue. I am 100% certain Wash knew the numbers mentioned in the Grant blurb. However, he has to say “gut feeling”. He can’t denigrate any of his other players, or make them feel like they are not an important part of the team.

If he does, I seriously doubt he looks at split stats – or stats period. I would bet $100 that he doesn’t even know what Murphy’s OPS against lefties is this year. And I’d bet you another $100 that he doesn’t know whay OPS means.

That may be true, but

Ron’s baseball decisions continually prove that he is an idiot who is either ignoring the facts, or knows nothing about them. I don’t really think his speech patterns alone prove anything either, but they certainly fit the profile of the dumbass he seems to be.

As much as having a full day of Rangers Baseball on Father's Day would be awesome

No way Bradley could play back to back games in the OF. Plus our bullpen would get shattered. Not only would possibly everyone have to pitch, but a few would bat too. NL double-headers are nasty for AL teams.

Getting it in

It would also help the Rangers to not have to play 2 tomorrow in another way. The Mets head to Anaheim for a series starting on Monday. I would like to see them well rested when playing the Angels.

he’ll be the GM of the Rangers for the next 25 years and retire because he ran out of fingers for the WS rings (do GMs get rings too?)

Customarily, everyone in the organization gets rings.

There are secretaries for the Cowboys who have rings. They were talking to groundskeepers for the Red Sox at some point this off-season.

It differs from organization to organization I’m sure, but usually it’s everyone. And definitely GMs.

. . . in which case you get to choose from the Astros in English, or the Astros in Spanish. I’m not sure why my cable company hasn’t heard of SAP, but because they haven’t, I don’t get any of the games this weekend. It’s not like it might be cool or something to see the Rangers play in Shea Stadium for the first time (or at least the first time in my memory). No. that would make sense.

ahaahahaha

from evan grant

Five Rangers currently doing head-first slides on the slick turf at Shea Stadium and getting the crowd behind them: Ian Kinsler, Milton Bradley, Josh Hamilton, Josh Rupe and Gerald Laird. . ... Now joined by Michael Young.

Mets have not joined them. There is no way we play. Not if they are doing slip ‘n slides. Fans chanting “Let’s go Rangers.”

Now, security escorting players off tarp. This is truly “New York’s team”

UPDATE: Now they have defied security for one final run. Security laughing. Security coming off the field. Will you call the game already, people? Stir-craziness has set in.
