Happy birthday, Donnie Sadler
Happy birthday to Donnie Sadler, who turns 33 today.
Ah, Donnie Sadler...the scourge of Rangers fans in 2003, when Buck Showalter was platooning him at third base with Hank Blalock, and making public proclamations about how he needed to find a way to get Sadler more playing time.
Sadler played 77 games in 2003, and rewarded Buck's faith with a whopping .200 EQA and .198 batting average.
He was JHJ before JHJ, but without the HGH.

wasn't he
a pretty big time prospect for the red sox a while back?
You know what else sucks?
You.
You know what else sucks after that? My “insult” to you.
Seriously people. If you don’t like the birthday posts, stop reading the damn things. Christ, we just had an off day. There’s not a whole lot of stuff out there.

I think you'd agree
That a major draw of a site like this is the ability to criticize the direction of the club as well as the content of the site itself. Otherwise why open up comments?

Donnie went to
Valley Mills High School in Valley Mills, TX (a wide spot in the road about half an hour west of Waco—and not too far from Crawford). When you drive through, there’s a big billboard with his picture celebrating the fact that he was an “All-State Home Town Boy.” I wonder if they have the whole town decorated with VMHS-colored bunting and stuff today?

Too bad his last name isn't "Iris"...
Then we could listen to “Ah! Leah!” while we reminisce.
Think his wife’s name is Marie?
Ah Leah...
...one of my favorite songs growing up. I remember loving that song in the 6th grade.
Right around the time all the young talent is ready to contend is when the organization will realize that Ron Washington is the wrong man for the job.
Donnie Sadler
is a beast. He was one of my favorite players. Him and Marcus Thames.

You should get together with Bev
