I would love nothing more

than for Padilla to bean Texiara with the first pitch he throws and then give an innocent look as to how could you resist $140 million

Cowboys

Cowboys want him to sign an injury settlement in case he can’t come back from his knee injury or gets reinjured so they won’t be on the hook for his contract and he won’t sign it. They won’t let him workout or practice unless he does

I would have liked to see him give the Cowboys at least one more season.

Ya

but its going to be interesting how some of those young guys, i.e Austin, Hurd, and the guy I’m really excited about, Amandeola do with Romo in this offense

series price

ATL – 135
TEX – 105

never understood the 30 cent lines, but ATL is the slightest of favorites.

probably similar price next series at WAS. can rangers spilt the next 6? i would love to see them 4-2, but i think that might be a little unrealistic.

go rangers…

He was pretty great as a Ranger and brought them a great return in trade.

This is the advantage of swinging early in the count

The pitcher knows it so won’t groove it so you lay off and he loses some of that control

Speaking of Nolan and Ventura

I’ve told the forum about this before, but I just sent off an email about it to the booth. Here’s what I wrote…

“I have a plaque with a close-up picture of Robin Ventura in a Nolan Ryan headlock with Nolan’s fist pummeling Ventura. Down below the photo is engraved “Ryan’s Seven Hitter” “

by WhipSmart on Jun 17, 2008 8:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Eh

I’m used to Salty trade rumors.

But IMO, you can’t trade Salty or Teagarden yet, because neither one has proven they’re gonna be a full-time ML catcher. Salty offers the offense and superstar potential, while Tea’s got the defense, – but you can’t trade either until you find one starts to truly realize thier potential.

One of my favorite things in sports is

when the home team gives a standing O to the pitcher for losing his no hitter/perfect game anything in the 5th inning and later. Near as I can tell the Ranger fans didnt do that for Padilla.
