BOOOOOO
thats what i think of thread number 2
"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it." - Mitch Hedberg
way to tag it Kins
"I should apologize to girls for saying Sexson threw that helmet like a girl. I’m not even sure girls do that." - TAG 05/08/2008
oh well
now Josh will just have to hit a HR to get an RBI now
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Second time in about a week...
...Kinsler has barely been safe at home on a wild pitch…
You don’t see that happen twice in a season, it seems…
Hmm...
But I bet we see it a few more times from him this season.

woops i posted like 3 times in a row in the atlanta thread
didnt switch windows back.
Bring up Justin Smoak
i was wondering the same thing
it took me a couple of mins of thinking what the hell before i figued it out
Boo.
I hope mild means the same thing in this case as it does on salsa labels.
by The Best Micah on Jun 17, 2008 8:27 PM CDT up reply actions
That oughta count as an RBI for Josh...
because Hudson was afraid of throwing him anything good.
II Cor. 4:17-18
If they're making a move
it has to be now. With 3 games vs. the road-challenged Braves and 3 vs. the Win-challenged Nats coming up.
oh yeah, on Tex
Fans are probably booing him because he turned down 8 years 140 MM from Hicks.
Stats don't lie
hey thanks! why don't you mail that back to last week when it was NEWs!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Just turned the game on...
how bad did the injury look?
He's from Venezuela, Knox
he doesn’t understand you…
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
Noooo.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. - Lance Armstrong
No
Why waste an option for a couple week audition.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Well
Mayberry turns 25 in December, and is currently in AAA.
If the Rangers need to use an option on him in 2011, he probably isn’t worth hanging on to at that point anywqya.
by Adam J. Morris on Jun 17, 2008 8:38 PM CDT up reply actions
yeah
but you see how we are with Cruz and Botts this year. I would rather try and avoid that by all means if possible. He obviously isn’t a sure thing since its taken him this long to break through being a 1st round pick. Why not give yourself as much time as possible
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Cruz time?
If they do i imagine that is who will get the call
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
I believe he's hurting a bit too.
Day to day, last I saw.
by The Best Micah on Jun 17, 2008 8:35 PM CDT up reply actions
Oh...well, then forget I said anything.
I think he needs one more shot with the Rangers.
by The Best Micah on Jun 17, 2008 8:37 PM CDT up reply actions
Yeah
He didn’t look right going after it
by Adam J. Morris on Jun 17, 2008 8:39 PM CDT up reply actions
Damn
Is Hamilton just a more athletic Manny Ramierz in the field? He sure does…sorta suck out there?
hey i just turned the game on...
how bad did the bradley injury look?
When your leg disconnects from your body, it never looks good...
luckily, that didn’t happen.
Didn’t look too bad.
good deal...
I’m enjoying the boardgame experience too much for him to go and get hurt
im actually slightly ok with bradley getting these minor injuries
because they probably get him back to DHing again without keeping him out for a long time.
he shouldnt be playing the field until we know if we are going to trade him or not.
Bring up Justin Smoak
Padilla = Ranger #1 Pitcher
Without Argument
"I'm extremely complex. I'm not easy to understand." - a) Charles Manson, b) Madonna, c) Milton Bradley.
And
Great start today by Padilla. I wish that Hamilton error never happened so you could have gone 7 strong, but he pitched just about as well as you could hope for.
finally
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. - Lance Armstrong
I love that
We traded away Teix, and some people complained. But then we picked up David Murphy who is producing the exact same numbers.
Its like we never traded him!
similar numbers now or not
murphy is nowhere near the hitter tex is, and i have a feeling the year end numbers will reflect that.
thankfully we also have hammy and for now bradley.
Bring up Justin Smoak
Everybody.
Just keep hating on Murphy, he loves it.
Hate hate hate hate hate hate.
HE LOVES IT. He will be better than Teix by the end of the year.
by SaltyGoesYard on Jun 17, 2008 8:58 PM CDT up reply actions
Saying Teix is a much better hitter
Is Ridiculous.
STATS DONT LIE! SMALL SAMPLE SIZE! 40 MAN!
by SaltyGoesYard on Jun 17, 2008 9:04 PM CDT up reply actions
one of those is in fact relevant
i love the murph, but that doesnt make him an elite hitter or a lefty masher.
Bring up Justin Smoak
WEDGIE!!!!!!!!
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Hamilton's HR
I just got in was it a shot?
"Would you mind walking a time or two so I could drive in some runs"? Milton Bradley
no
shot doesn’t describe it. liftoff is more appropriate
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
To describe it better
Hammy steps to the plate. McCann looks up at him, looks at his feet seeing how close he is to the plate. Looks back up at him almost taunting him and sets up inside almost saying to Hammy “I bet you can’t hit this inside pitch”. First pitch and it was gone. Upper deck. Needless to say hamy hasn’t seen an inside pitch again tonight
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
He is going to break a window
in the park this year.
"Would you mind walking a time or two so I could drive in some runs"? Milton Bradley
Is that why Victor was laughing at it?
I kinda like it.
by The Best Micah on Jun 17, 2008 9:03 PM CDT up reply actions
I think so
Im just glad my suggestion got some air play
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
neil ramirez
1 hit 1 run 1k 2 balks and 1 wild pitch. first inning

Damn I was hoping for better
"Would you mind walking a time or two so I could drive in some runs"? Milton Bradley
yeah really
Pro debut jitters is expected.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.

I don't know if I've ever seen it.
But I would love it.
by The Best Micah on Jun 17, 2008 9:17 PM CDT up reply actions
The biggest thing about winning today...
now Fresno is off until Friday… that gives some time to rest the pitching staff and nurse the injuries.
So I picked up
“The Mind of Bill James” at the library the other day, I’m assuming others have read it.
Review?
people still go to the library?
"Would you mind walking a time or two so I could drive in some runs"? Milton Bradley
Beasticon?
OK maybe I missed something but I thought Hammy was Beasticon. Now Davis is? Or are they both? Just don’t want to bget confused identifying these studs
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Beasticon
Its a breed of super mashers.
by SaltyGoesYard on Jun 17, 2008 9:24 PM CDT up reply actions
Hamilton and Davis
They are the only two beasticons, though.
by Adam J. Morris on Jun 17, 2008 9:27 PM CDT up reply actions
I'm pretty sure my friend Ned has either wet himself or is too nervous to.
He’s a lifelong Celtics fan.
by The Best Micah on Jun 17, 2008 9:24 PM CDT up reply actions
"being" a Celtics #5 jersey?
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
by oc on Jun 17, 2008 9:24 PM CDT up reply actions
i would want hughes or kennedy
maybe not much more after that but getting back a starting pitching prospect is a must (and a good one). otherwise, makes no sense to make a trade
Rare Gnats Sex
Ace of the Ranger Staff
Trade #2 Millwood
"I'm extremely complex. I'm not easy to understand." - a) Charles Manson, b) Madonna, c) Milton Bradley.
what happened?
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
just for kicks, since rojas said it
Kinsler
Young
Hamilton
Bradley
Teixeira
Blalock
Murphy
Salty
Byrd/Boggs
Bring up Justin Smoak
potential lineup if we hadnt traded tex..
although obviously salty couldnt really be in it
Bring up Justin Smoak
ummm
how would we have Salty and Tex?
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
the question was if they miss him and how he would look in the lineup
not necessarily just reversing the trade.
but since laird is apparently so awesome i guess he can go in there instead =p
Bring up Justin Smoak
OK
So how would we have Salty and still have kept Tex?
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
........................its a hypothetical
move on please. did i try to make it sound serious when i posted it?
Bring up Justin Smoak
im moved
but yeah you did sound serious
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
i wonder if tex would have allowed himself to be dropped
certainly not lower than bradley
Rare Gnats Sex
DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fucking bullpen
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
booey
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. - Lance Armstrong
save situation! woot!
guardado is ok but yeah people were getting a bit high on him.
Bring up Justin Smoak
Seriously
When are we gonna do something? The entire bullpen is terrible. Not one of them should be kept
Just change channels and change back
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Coming into the game, they mentioned that Guardado is the onyl reliever with an ERA under 3.0... so much for that
Guardado was that guy
Until that one pitch to McCann there.
See folks, this is why it’s important to have a catcher who can hit some home runs in the ballpark in Arlington.
yeah
and if Tex would have hit it you would have said “thats why its important to have a 1B who hits HRs in the ballpark”
It was a shitty pitch, position be damned.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
ramirez balks in a run the second....fourth of the game
but has four strike outs in two innings
If you want some slack, bring your own rope.
Hearing Kinsler speak
Certainly did nothing improve my opinion of him. Well, as long as he hits .300…
Yea that is the question...
"Would you mind walking a time or two so I could drive in some runs"? Milton Bradley
I can do it
I only throw about 80 but I can come in throw strikes and leave it low
by meatbonelefty on Jun 17, 2008 9:45 PM CDT up reply actions
Shit I dunno
I just want them all gone.
by SaltyGoesYard on Jun 17, 2008 9:45 PM CDT up reply actions
might as well have the guy with closer potential in there
hes working out of it here anyway.
Bring up Justin Smoak
oh nice

haha
I can probably count the number of funny things in that movie on 1 hand, but that was really funny for some reason.

First Game Seen All Year
I don’t see how you all do it. Love beating the Braves.
Sad part for me... I have to work tomorrow night when Hurley's pitching :(
My only savior… Verizon finally turned on the ev-do in my area so checking on my phone will be a lot faster
don't worry... you'll just miss half of the Braves line-up taking him deep.
by oc on Jun 17, 2008 9:50 PM CDT up reply actions
What flavor of haterade is that?
Negative Neon or Bandwagon Blue?
by SaltyGoesYard on Jun 17, 2008 9:51 PM CDT up reply actions
wernt you just saying how you only wanted to hear about pitching prospects
and you are going to hate on hurley?
Bring up Justin Smoak
didnt think the lakers
could win 3 straight.
