Make Your own Farm assignments 2.0 OKC
Lets see if this will be any better in the newer format. Since things seem to be a little slow I thought I would open up a little game that can be played by one and all and would be sure to spark some debate. Spokane got off to a hot start and after reading the rest of shroomers recaps, which btw I am new to and loving it, I got to thinking about the upcoming promotions and further than that next years roster allocation.
A little caveat to make this easier: only use starters and starting pitchers for now, if you feel strongly about a guy being on said team either in a platoon or utility type role or as a prominent reliever or spot/tandem starter than feel free to include them as well.
Of course you can go as far as you want and allocate every player to a team, but do so without the thought that someone will be coming or going in a hypothetical trade you think makes sense. As for unsigned players, Im going to put everyone on the honor system and assume we all can guesstimate who we will sign from this years draft. Mine is in the works and will be there shortly, take the time and enjoy it, lets see how it works.

Here Goes...
OKC
pitchers-mendoza, harrison, nippert, mccarthy/rowe, lizard/murray
Im gonna say mccarthy plays here for a while to rehab and maybe someone gets bumped back down if he proves healthy and ready to go like hurley or gabbard, or another scenario is that one of them moves to the pen to get some major league experience and innings under their belt and someone like mathis or even rupe is sent down and takes mccarthy’s place. Similar situation with murray to a lesser extent. This is easily the most clouded position going right now.
hitters-
c-teagarden
1b-chris davis, the man, the myth, the legend
2b-roberts you are the weakest link
ss-arias
3b-metcalf
of cruz, mayberry, gentry
dh-max ramirez- the legend, the myth, the man?
assuming trades are made, namely for blalock, bradley, cat, shelton (dfa?), maybe laird (seems better to do in the summer) or byrd, then many spots would open up for mayberry, cruz, davis, ramirez, etc.

OK I'll play
So to start out next year is what this is supposed to be about right? Gotcha. Well lets see.
C- Teagarden
1B- Nate Gold
2B- Duran(if we keep Vasquez as our utility guy) or Meyer
SS- Arias
3B- Metcalf
OF- Mayberry, S. Murphy, Ellison
SP – Harrison, Diamond(assuming they keep him as a starter), Gabbard, Mendoza, Nippert
Lots of youth that will be ready and able to fill in as needed for injury or poor play. 4 of the starters will be on options so sending guys back and forth shouldn’t require alot of roster shuffling. Overall a good balance.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
