following my turtle tactics, eh?
Gerald Laird is my hero.
Hey D
Eddie has faced 20 righties this year and has a 1.35 era against them so YES i follow baseball do you?
by blueballlefty on Jun 2, 2008 9:44 PM CDT up reply actions
apparently not if you dont recognize the term small sample size
ill take 3 years over 20 at bats.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
my comp.
is f’n up right now but i would be willing to bet that eddie has a better career era against righty than Jacky does
by blueballlefty on Jun 2, 2008 9:47 PM CDT up reply actions
what he did in his prime doesnt matter though
benoit as a reliever in the last 3-4 years v guardado v righties the last 3-4 years, id bet anything benoit has better numbers.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
umm
just looked it up eddie was hurt last year and only faced like 20 batters so I did his from 04-05-06 and I did Benoit in 05-06-07 since he was awfull in 04 and heres how it came out against righties eddie 2.04-3.12-5. something benoit 3.02-5.59-3.14 so take it for what you want but ultimately you look at what they are doing this year and you have to stay with eddie

finally getting to watch some rangers baseball
i was at a party
im making the call to get back in the flow of things
touchdown... touchdown... and st.micheals takes the lead.
Jack Benoit
worst performer in the history of sport.
Why in this giant piece of shit infesting our roster.
Hey, it could be worse...

"Ham" is not an attractive word?
Go back to your hive hippie
Dude!
It’s not!
I’m not a big ham fan, I guess.
I broke up with a girl in 5th grade because of the way she sucked down ham sandwiches. She could slurp ham. I don’t know how. Most of the time, skill like that pays off. I was too young to know though.
Dude that was low
"My death certificate will probably say: 'Cause of Death: World Series.'" Jamey Newberg
I really can't believe that a pitch so far below the knees
that was caught just above the ground by the catcher could be called a ball
well, that home plate ump can eat sh*t

at least hamilton will probably face borrowski in the ninth
just keep it close.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
Murphy needs to break out of his slump
right now. I refuse to have another game lost because the ump is a jerk off
I think that ump was looking to be a big man
And be one who called the new Mickey Mantle out on strikes.
Great
now Murphy has to swing at a pitch that far low because the ump decides everything below the chin is a strike
i cant say im surprised
by there poor performance
touchdown... touchdown... and st.micheals takes the lead.
angels
are much better than the rest of the division.
their offense is horrible
but their pitching is so good/lucky that they’ll probably run away with it
"throw in"

Man....
Wash is such a moron. Can’t handle a bullpen. I mean it’s as simple as you guys said it was yesterday right?
you're a twat...
...if Jamey Wright pitches like he’s supposed to yesterday, we wouldn’t be talking about this.
...if Joaquin Benoit pitches like he’s supposed to tonight, we wouldn’t be talking about this.
you want a perfect example of how Jekyll and Hyde this bullpen has been… take a look at Robinson Tejeda the last two days… the number of pitches he’s thrown both days… and you’ll find your fucking answer…
good grief.
i officially believe.

this isn't ONLY on Wash, you dumbasses.
i officially believe.
by oc on Jun 2, 2008 10:08 PM CDT up reply actions
Maybe so
But Wash bringing in Tejeda in that situation instead of Francisco was inexscusable. He lost us that game yesterday when he made that decision, I don’t see how anyone can deny that.
A Lonestar in California - 2.0
"I LOVE to fart" - Bert Blyleven
I think
Francisco and Tejeda lost that game yesterday by their sucking.
Were you not watching when Frankie gave up those two HRs? Seriously!
Frankie gave up 2 HRs to
different players than the one’s Tejeda faced. Its no guarantee he gives up HRs in that situation. What I do know is you go with the best guy you can use and FX2 was that guy in that situation.
Well...
enlighten us on what would have worked tonight.
Jamey Wright... one of your most consistant pitchers out of the pen recently...
...he was the best guy to go to.
i officially believe.
by oc on Jun 2, 2008 10:20 PM CDT up reply actions
I think
Wright or FX2 is a push to begin the inning, I’m talking about after Wright was blowing up and Wash kept waiting to try and let him pitch out of the jam.
And what would have worked tonight? Don’t know. The only thing I can put on Wash in this game is maybe pulling Tejeda for a bullpen that is tired and had a really shaky day yesterday. I’m not putting this all on Wash, the pitchers need to stop walking guys and shouldn’t be giving up 5 more runs over an inning.
you're wrong, Jon...
...Francisco wouldn’t have shut them down any better, and you know it.
i officially believe.
by oc on Jun 2, 2008 10:11 PM CDT up reply actions
He still should have been in the game
It doesn’t matter if he sucked or not while he was playing trashman, Tejeda should not have ever been brought into that situation. How can you dismiss that decision?
A Lonestar in California - 2.0
"I LOVE to fart" - Bert Blyleven
Then you bring in Benoit. ANYONE but Tejeda would have been smarter to bring in, even Rupe.
A Lonestar in California - 2.0
"I LOVE to fart" - Bert Blyleven
no
it would have been the same result. The bullpen sucked. they all did. They all have been inconsistent for a long fucking time.
Wash had something to do with it, but nearly as much as the horribleness of this pen did.
Uh... whose decision was it to take out Feldman, BTW?
A Lonestar in California - 2.0
"I LOVE to fart" - Bert Blyleven
why do you bring in your long man if you're leading going to the 7th?
i officially believe.
by oc on Jun 2, 2008 10:21 PM CDT up reply actions
I'm just saying
He would have been better than the guy who hasn’t thrown a pitch in trhe bigs all season.
The real mistake was when Wash took out Feldman at 85 pitches. Then he topped it off when he brought in Tejeda with the bases loaded.
A Lonestar in California - 2.0
"I LOVE to fart" - Bert Blyleven
If next season rolls around
And not one single person from the pitching staff is on the team, and it is comprised of all new names.
This would be a good thing. Probably a neccessary thing.
I wasn't around for most of the game tonite
so I don’t know if this was discussed earlier, but the Rangers bullpen has blown 19 leads – most in MLB. If we had won even half of those, we’d be in first place in the AL West. Something has to change if we are to compete at any level.
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
