Won't get to see the game
Fiancee wants to go see Get Smart… the movie and game have the same starting time. (Compromise I make because of the rarity of us having time off at the same time when things are actually open.) I’ll be tracking it on my phone, looks like… so here’s the new rally image I promised last game but couldn’t use.

I would be participating ...
.. but once again Time Warner and/or FSN has screwed Rangers fans by showing the Astros even though the Rangers are clearly on the schedule for today. Jerks!
And I can’t find an online link, I know someone asked earlier but I can’t find anything.

From what I can tell...
The high camera angle is due to a “sunken field,” which alows more seating on the lowest level of the stadium. That pushed the high level seating (and booths) farther away from home plate than most stadiums. That, in turn, pushes the camera angle up.
I guess.

I'd rather see Teagarden come up now
because then Max can get some at abts at AAA, and then at the trade deadline, when people like Cat and maybe Blalock are dealt, they’re will be room for guys like Max and Davis to comeup

I don't know why people are dissing the melhuse idea
maybe you shouldn’t sign melhuse but someone like him wouldn’t be bad. the fragily psyched salty (as some have suggested) might feel a bit threatened if you brought up another catcher of the future

So, what's the plan from here?
Let’s work under the assumption that Laird is out until, say, August 1, and that might be conservative.
Do you call up Teagarden? MaxRam? What do you do with Salty? Do you try to deal Laird in the offseason now?
Also, what about signing a Damian Miller? He’s available, and would probably come cheap.

I think you go with Teagarden
MaxRam needs full-time AB’s somewhere, and with Blalock, Bradley and eventually Chris Davis crowding the 1B/DH situation, I don’t think there’s room for him. Either we bring up Teagarden, or we promote a AAA scrub or sign somebody expendable.
