Ugh
I don’t like the bunt there… Kins is hot and Cat is so-so… Young is cold as he can ever be…
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
i guess it had to be done
but it hurts to take the bat out of our 2nd best active hitter.
Bring up Chris Davis
WHY????
WHY DO WE BUNT WITH KINSLER???
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
So that Cat and Young can drive Boggs in
Nevermind that Young has one base hit the last month and Cat is not hitting that well.
BOOOOOO

Carpenter did
They’re in a different league though and it’s not like Benoit is a household name (although I do understand he should be able to pronounce that name). But I like Carpenter and always did when he did the Ranger games with Busby.

Just checked
Salty threw out a runner, Millwood got 8 innings and gave up only 3 ER. Francisco, Rupe, and Benoit are all looking great. How the hell have we not won?

He made it, but he was rolling around on the ground afterwards. Really, really scary looking, but the Rangers are calling it a “mild strain” right now.

So, a catcher blocks the plate on a throw to prevent a run from scoring
can a first baseman block first base when a runner is trying to get back – or is that considered bush league?

You talked to much shit yesterday
about the third thread being the difference. Killed the mojo tonight
well
yesterday he gives up the game tying run. Today he gives up the game winning run. Not a good couple of days for him.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
-The Outlaw
You and I have already discussed yesterday...
and you’re still wrong.
Anyone that blames him for today is misplacing their anger. He should have never been in the game given that he had pitched the last three nights and four out of the last 5. I just hope he doesn’t get hurt as a result.
The offense didn't do their job tonight, CJ didn't do his last night
So that means that Wright doesn’t deserve to get blamed for hitting a hitter and walking 2 to load the bases? He doesn’t deserve any blame for giving up that sac fly last night? That’s crap.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
-The Outlaw
I don't blame him....
when any good manager would have made him unavailable tonight given his workload. You can if you want.
As for yesterday….we’ve had this discussion. And again…..you’re still wrong.
how exactly
what do you ask Wright to do in yesterday’s game? Is it okay that he gives up a deep fly ball in that case?
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.
-The Outlaw
Damn it all
I thought Vasquez could’ve made a play on that ball.
Oh well.
One more game closer to Chris Davis getting called up.
The 40 Trumps All!!!
I look at it this way,
we lost, Milwood didn’t get the L and had a quality start so that doesnt hurt his value.
The bad part about is that Laird got hurt and Bradley didnt start.
And Salty took a ball in the chin too
He seemed to be OK initially, but you never know with stuff like that.
looked more like his throat
that’s why he dropped so fast…
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
your mom took some balls to the chin last night

And...
with Salty getting regular playing time, I expect if he continues to suck that the ball to the chin will be referenced with great regularity. As well as Neptune rising, the uncertainty of the country’s future in an election year, etc.

by SanDiegoKev on Jun 21, 2008 12:04 AM CDT up reply actions
Well
I think the only solution to walks in late or extra innings is immediate removal of any pitcher who issues an unintentional walk. Or hits a batter.
MY-Hamilton-Murphy 0 for 18? That’s probably a loss anyway.

I hate...
games like this. 4 1/2 hours and the Rangers ca’t get a damn hit to leave the infield for the last 12 innings or so. If this is what our offense looks like without Board Game then fuck it, keep him and take the 2 picks at the end of the year. Then call up Davis and DFA Shelton. I really want to see him play in a month but the Rangers have to get something out of the 1B position. This shit was just painful. The Nats? Really?
If Marlon Byrd hits 5th or higher in the order again I’m gonna shoot somebody.
The ‘pen finally pitches well only to top it off with hitting a guy in the foot, walking LoDuca and Langerhans (2 guys hitting .200 or lower) and giving up a IF hit that Vazquez should have been able to at least get a glove on. These guys looked like they quit tonight. What the hell. Shit.
