Nippert Tosses No-Hitter
I wonder whether Nippert will get another look this season?
Nippert's final line was:
7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
There doesn't appear to be much room in the pen for Nippert for the time being. His last start wasn't too bad either, as he went 7 innings and allowed only 3 runs. Here are his overall stats, as of now:

WTF?
Seriously what the f@#$?
Good for him though, he will probably get a look later this year.

I say keep him pitching every fifth day in OK,
and maybe he can continue to put everything together. Depending on what happens at the trade deadline if he is pitching the same way then he might be able to earn a promotion. Whatever the case hopefully he continues to get better.
there will be enough injuries that he probably gets another chance
good for him. theres still a chance he figures it out at he mlb level. slim, but a chance.
2 games over 500 please.
no hitters
two in professional baseball in consecutive days, however both aren’t really recognized as no hitters.
baseBALLIN!
Benoit
I’d say if Joaquin keeps having problems and ends up on the DL, Nip will be first in line for that spot.
Nip, nip!
Yeah!

Kepp frpm moving him up for as long as possible until there is a rotation spot open
wdont forget, hes out of options, so he has to pass through waivers and then agree to go down instead of becoming a FA like German if he imploads again.
Give the kid some starts, he has as much if not more potential than Harrison or Hurley. Its more of harnessing that stuff…
Nippert as a starter in AAA this year...
Including the no-hitter:
59 1/3 IP, 37 Ks, 15 walks, 8 homers, 4.10 ERA

I like the low walk total....
the K’s, HR’s and ERA are not spectacular though.

that's the thing
a no hitter is a great accomplishment, but Nippert remains what he is, a decent AAA starter whose numbers don’t exactly jump off the page, and whose stuff doesn’t translate to the big leagues very well. he will need to keep his ERA down around 3.50 for another two months to really get my attention.

NIce job...
Dusty Tits.
If Mendoza can’t cut it I think he should get the next shot as long as the Pirate isn’t healthy. I think Harrison needs to stay in OKC ‘til Sept.

Let him stay in AAA until we need a starter.
I wish we would quit jerking these guys between starter and bullpen. I like Mendoza, mathis and Nippert as starters. Leave the bullpen call ups to the Madrigals and bill whites.
Shallow ... prolly
But doesn’t it seem like that Andy Hawkins has more success fixing people than MCRangerPitchingCoach?
I don’t know … it just seems that way.
