The model of consistency

The Rangers won 3 in a row to get to 25-25 in late May.  Since then, this is what they've done:

The star cluster, the highway(s), the locomotive, or the weapons?

You know who else is a model of consistency?

Chris Davis.

Every time he starts, he hits a dong.

If he can keep that up he’s gonna be pretty good.

Damn you, Rentz!

I had a claim in on him, too. Though I must admit I didn’t think my 5th waiver priority would get the job done.

Oh, well.

As much as I would’ve loved his production this year, he wouldn’t have been a “keeper” for me anyways.

And how dare YOU pick him up, by the way? You picking him up mean he immediately becomes a threat to go on the 15-day DL. Get your team’s karma off my Rangers, Rentz!!!

One small victory!

Yeah, he’s not a keeper to you because you some how managed to get a team full of all-stars!

And yeah, everyone on my teams on the friggin dl! hence the change of my team name to “DL15”

so you’re worried about davis and my dl karma but not salty?

Davis in the Daily Oklahoman:
•Harvest time: The Rangers have seen high levels of production with their farm clubs this season.

Outfielder Brandon Boggs, pitcher Eric Hurley, catcher Max Ramirez and first baseman Chris Davis have all made an impact on the big-league level.
.
Davis isn’t surprised so many home grown players make it.
.
“They’ve done a really good job of stacking the minor leagues," Davis said. “It’s kind of scary what they’ve got going on, and there are still a ton of guys who are still down there. It has to be exciting to be a Rangers fan right now."

by shroomer on Jun 30, 2008 8:38 AM CDT reply actions

i'm in NY today to watch the game here

and I am 6-1 when watching Rangers games in person since moving to Tampa in 2007, and my last win was with Josh Hamilton and his eyes closed grand slam against the Rays. So, I am confident that my ability to bring good things to this team when on the road will continue against this Joba machine tonight.

I will be behind the dugout 4 rows back – and I will not let us down.

The winning streak starts TODAY.

Ya....That's Real Mature.

I figured they'd be around a .500 team

I just didn’t think they’d have this commitment to mediocrity.
