Something is wrong with Wright
He’s either hurt, or his mechanics are off. Maybe both.

who would win the matchup
between botts and wright?

botts
wright would walk him.

You know what
In a game where half your bullpen is wasted, Ron Washington took Rupe out too early. He should have finished this inning.
Victor and Eric brought this up on KLRD just now
Which is why I posted it. Rupe was at 55 pitches, and only Guardado and Wilson are available besides Wright. Had I known that when Rupe was pulled, I probably would have said something.
Not bagging on you
just saying Hindsight is great. Move seemed fine to me. Wright was doing good in the 7th until the last time out. I certainly thought he could get a one out. Wrong.
Yeah
I’m not trying to go all 20/20, I’m just saying that I woulda let Rupe finish the inning if I’d have had all the information, and brought in Wright for the 8th.
Normally I would disagree
and say, “let’s not second guess everything.” But our pen is SPENT and Rupe might have well just finished the inning with a 7 run lead.

bullpen
maybe we need to call up 2 guys.
i dont like guys staying in there in these key situations when they dont have anything.
Frankie and Wright
just both overworked right now. They need like 3 days off each.
That means we need ponson for like 7 tomorrow, and Millwood for at least 6.
We’re toeing a dangerous line
send down mathis and murray
and bring up littleton and loe or madrigal
And right after winning
the BTiA Major League Pitcher of the Month Award, too!
Because, you know, that’s basically the equivalent of the Cy Young.
TAG and the TV crew pulling a Harry Doyle
and breaking out the wifebeaters and Jack Daniels.

eddie
i love the guy. even at 2-0, i never thought he would walk the guy.
At this point
Do you install Frankie or Eddie as the setup man? Do you make the other the 7th inning guy?
Or do you stick with Wright and Benoit?
Wright and Benoit need about 3 days off to work on their stuff and rest
Frankie and Eddie need 3 days off just to rest.
Translation: We’re kinda screwed as far as the late inning-bullpen goes right now.
gotta give Jack a couple of more shot before displacing him...
but EG is definately my 7th inning guy.
Ever watch that one for a while?
The scoreboard is accurate in keeping track of the goals scored by England
Here's an idea
DL murray, wright, bring up the Littleton and Loe due, add another OKC starter with that extra 40 spot
Bring up....
Loe and Madrigal….....
and an OKC starter….. not named Gabbard
he needs to be AB every game
i wouldn’t mind, even though i love MB, trade him and stick Satly at DH on days he doesn’t catch.

mauer
salty with full time at bats could definitely challenge for the title though.
Gerald Laird is my hero.
Mauer
he’s a real good hitter, but he has less pop (way less) than Salty. He’s far superior as a defender, and doubtlessly the best catcher there is, but as a general offensive weapon, I’d say salty is better.
pretty accurate
except for Mauer is the most awesome defensive catcher not named Pudge Rodriguez that I have ever seen.
highly debatable
.214 average
.305 obp
salty obviously has no counting stats having been in the minors and platooning, but his ops is now sitting at .865

that means a few minute ago
he had 1/2 as many as salty, who has like 80 plate appearences.

Watching our bullpen
Is like watching 2 retards make out.
It hurts so bad to watch that you have to keep watching to see if it could possibly get worse.
I have to wonder...
...if they won’t look at bringing up Gordon, as well.
They have a 40 man slot, and he’s the type of guy you can throw out there in an emergency situation and say, give us 90 pitches, no matter what.
this guy v hammy still scares me
but im sure hammy scares them.
any kind of hit would be fine.

I’m watching the gamecast online and watching the news on the TV, and they just said that Obama “called Sen. Clinton and left a message congratulating her on her win in South Dakota, and to have her call him back.”
I found it funny that Clinton would screen her calls when Barack Obama is calling.

There is a “B. Ziegler” in the game for Oakland. And Kansas City had a “Y. Yabuta” pitch for them tonight.

but I LOVE the badass attitude of players win they hit HR and watch it for a second like MB and Manny.
And if a player on another team did that...
...there’d be clamoring for Vicente Padilla to put one in his ear the next time Padilla faced him.

I don’t remember seeing him do it before – which is why I kind of enjoyed watching that one.

And I think he took particular pleasure tonight with everything that’s gone on. Clearly some convo going on between Shoppach and Bradley. And I don’t think they’re talking about the best place for brunch on Wednesday morning.

I liked Milton’s Sam-Jackson-esque smirk.
I guess it was the beatings made me wise. But I'm not about to give thanks, or apologize.
bradley
im still scared to sign him long term. he seems to pull or twist something 3-4 times this year just while swinging. and that dude has a major temper problem.
Something is up with Milton
After the intentional walk of Hamilton earlier in the game and Milton’s subsequent walk, Milton jogged down the line starring into the Indians dugout. Now he’s jawing with the catcher, admiring his handy work, and mimicking a yawn upon going into the dugout. We may see some bad blood tomorrow.
