Thursday a.m. things
Yeah...driving four hours to see the Rangers give up 15 runs kind of sucks.
I didn't read the game day threads, so I don't know if people were complaining about not pulling Elizardo when he was struggling, but I have to assume that most folks here realize that the pen was pretty much wiped out yesterday, and barring something extraordinary, The Lizard and Kam Loe were going to be the only relievers to pitch.
Ron Washington says the bullpen should now be rested and restored, after yesterday's game. I had assumed that German Duran would be called up for today's game, but apparently, he won't be up until Monday.
I don't have much to say about Jason Botts heading to Japan, other than I wish him well, and wish he'd gotten more of a shot here.

over/under is 4
Joe Morgan: (On Jay Bruce) I think he will. He brings energy to the team, and besides that, he is a pretty good hitter.
Ken Tremendous: I like that the #1 reason he will help his team is: "energy," and the distant #2 reason is: "ability to hit baseballs."
I'll take under

$ Hot Dogs
The $1 hot dogs are very weak sauce. I had two and could have taken more. In front of me there was a very large man who I watched consume 6. It was the epitome of awesome! When he leaned back is his seat he would spill my drink in the cup holder. Definitely a site to behold.

Yeah, that's why I have at least 4

Little known fact
out in the kiddie area in CF, there is a food place with kids prices.
During every game, you can get the Dollar Hot Dog night style dogs for $1.50. Last year they were just $1….cost of oil? Who knows…
Also, the bottles of water out there are only $2 as opposed to $4 everywhere else.

I just heard about that
My buddy told me Saturday while we were at the game. That’s good info to have, fortunately I hit up Chipotle on the way into the park.
Mmmm burritos….

Burritos
You ever had the burritos at the ballpark? They are build your own style and one of the better food items I’ve had out there.
White Women!
How much?
That is the big question for this poor college student.

$8.25
So roughly $2 more than Chipotle. But Chipotle doesn’t have the ambiance of the ballpark. Where do you go to school?

Nothing wrong with UNT as a school
But I hate living in Denton. Now that it’s summer the place turns into a ghost town.

Question about being sold to a Japanese team...
When you sign a contract as a player in MLB, is there a standard clause that says you can be sold to another country?
Just wondering how that happens, because I don’t think I’d like to be forced to go over there.
I'd go...

Question about last night's Ranger game...
...I didn’t read back through the game threads so I was wondering what was the consensus opinion on the Ian Kinsler throwing error? I felt that although it was a poor throw and the error could only be charged to Ian that Young should have been able to catch it.
What did everyone else think?
Right around the time all the young talent is ready to contend is when the organization will realize that Ron Washington is the wrong man for the job.
I was at the game...
...and was very close to the field (2nd row, right behind 3B).
At the time, I assumed the error was on Young.

Error
I was watching on tv, and i didn’t think that error belonged to kinsler at all

Kinsler
Was he ever charged for an error when he went to catch the ball and it literally just knocked him to the ground? I was at the game and they never flashed the official scoring of the play.
White Women!
It was scored...
...a hit.

it was?
tom was talking about it was being scored an E4
maybe they changed it

Checked the box
Kinsler only had 1 and Young only had 1 so I guess they just gave the guy a hit on what should have been an error.

error
what was the error in right field last night? I was in section 31 between home plate and the Rangers dugout. My vision was blocked from where ball girls sit to the corner.
It was pretty disgusting watching Rameriz get hung out to dry. The wind was blowing pretty hard and it changed the game a lot.
I thought the error was on Young myself for not catching the ball. It was a low throw put these guys are supposed to be major leaguers, I thought.
I soloed in the mile high club.
Bradley
Muffed the ball in the right corner. I was in 23 a little to the left of home plate.

BP saw this coming
I can’t believe that I am going to be the first person to point out that BP 2008 joked about Botts winding up in Japan before too long (“he could be huge in Japan one day”).
Come on, Botts fan or not, that’s funny.
