Buyers or Sellers!
Should the Rangers be buyers or sellers....
I think they should be sellers...alot of good players that would bring prospects back to help increase the stock in the system. I do think people over value our potential tradees but I still if we get rid of the players that are excess baggage then we could see if guys are for real or pretenders in the system (Nate Gold, Nelson Cruz, etc...for example). What do you guys think?

for the first person to say we will be both buyers and sellers….

It seems that
we see at least oe of these fanposts everydays….. For the record, I do say we should just hold, outside of trading Cat

Penalty box.
I very, very rarely send people to the box, but sweet merciful Jebus. This is approximately the tenth diary in the past week asking this same question.

Do neither.
Trade Millwood/Cat/Laird if the offer is right. Get ready to make a run next year.

can me stop...
...thinking of it has “a run” we are coming up on… i tend to think of it more as “what starting next year”... with the amount of youth we have and are developing, there is no reason we can’t be very good for SEVERAL seasons… a run is seasonal…

Have You
paid any attention to our catcher’s production since Laird went down? I think the LAST thing this team will do is trade Laird, you cant keep winning with guys who throw out 15% of basestealers, hit under .210 and have OBP higher than there Slugging.

Here is my take
since I haven’t commented on one of these in a while.
Nelson Cruz- will be traded and probably never see TBiA in a Rangers uni again
Padilla- Hopefully he will be looked at as one of the best starters on the trade market and we can get something good for him
Salty/MaxRam/Teagarden- I think management would like to trade one of these but there is no way we get a fair return right now so unfortunately they all stick around
Bradley- I’ve changed on him, I dont trade him unless we get blown away with a deal someone like LaPorta, Scherzer etc… which noone thinks is likely so I hold on to him for a run(hopefully) if we trade him I HAVE TO FEEL LIKE WE ONE THE TRADE!
Byrd- he is a weird one to me, when I go to the games I love watching him play! but every day on TV he is a beating but all together I see who I can get more for him or Cruz and trade that guy
Cat- He’s gone to the first offer, which I’ve always really liked him and this is the best move for him good luck Cat
Laird- HE SHOULDNT be going anywhere, have you seen the backstop production since he went down?
Blalockone of my all-time favorite Rangers! sorry it hasn’t worked out Hank, but hopefully you give us a Healthy week and we can get something good for you, and you have a succesfull career somewhere else!
Millwood* Same as Padilla I would love to trade him for something GOOD and woul make sure everybody knows he is available for the right price!
All together I think we are treating this Trade Season correctly, I have the feeling we will be one of those teams that waited till the last minute to trade some veterans and another team overpays for them, ala V.Zambrano, AJ Pierzenski, Gagne, etc… we have the ability to make these trades in a number of different areas, because we have a number of different VETERANS performing in a number of different positions!

Kinsler is the best player on the rangers(done), BENOIT SUCKS(done), bring up Harrison(done),new: Put Nippert in rotation, Mendoza to the pen, get Feliz to AAA by the end of the year, trade cat
