Feldman the other night

Washington didn’t really have much choice. His bullpen was close to wiped out. He tried to squeeze as much out of Feldman as he could because his options were limited, and to avoid having to end up making a move to bring up someone like Joselo Diaz.

Oh, Murphy.

Same to you, I switched away from a movie I was barely interested in. You owe me.

by philkid3 on Jul 12, 2008 8:57 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Okay

Mad Max, Vazquez, and Cat still on the bench.

Send up Max to hit for Murphy now?

Or go with Murphy?

by Adam J. Morris on Jul 12, 2008 8:58 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I wouldn't mind seeing Max.

But Murph has been relatively hot at the plate, especially power-wise.

I think I stick with Murph

He’s been swinging a hot bat lately even if it is a lefty-lefty now

If they bring in the lefty

Can we still send Boggs up there? Or is he out of the game after he was pulled from the on-deck circle?

if we win tomorrow that’ll be 50 wins and the most we could be back is 7.5 if we win so its not too bad.

his throwing has not hurt us lately. i dont even remember the last runner that scored because of a bad throw.

Which pretty much snuffs out the momentum the team had built

Scoring 4 in the bottom of the ninth was unlikely, but momentum ius a funny thing… now they need 5 with some of the wind out of the sail.

I was convinced by Tom Tango on a message board once that people put too much emphasis on catcher’s throwing ability, particularly in this day and age.

Unfortunately, that same argument helps lower the value of one of my favorite players.

If the groin is still bothering him

could that be a factor in his throwing tonight?
