HR Derby Prediction Thread
Let's see who can guess the final order of the field. Let's let tiebreakers for players that will not have a "swing-off" (i.e. #'s 5-8) be the player's longest HR in the contest when deciding on the order of players for our purposes.
Remember, only 4 of the 8 contestants advance to Round 2, and then 2 finalists will face off.
Total HR listed
1. Josh Hamilton - 23
2. Lance Berkman - 21
3. Ryan Braun - 12
4. Grady Sizemore - 10
5. Dan Uggla - 4
6. Chase Utley - 4
7. Justin Morneau - 3
8. Evan Longoria - 3

A lefty will win
and Hamilton has a great shot at it. I cannot be objective about this, he’s my pick.

I hope he steps down
Lets someone else take his spot. Then rests up for the 2nd half.

He'll still have
a couple days off this week, and won’t play the whole game on Tuesday.

Eh
I kinda wish that too… but at this point, there’s nothing to do but get really excited about this and cheer him on. Hopefully it’ll be worth it for him.

Pretty cool
Nice to see that Hammy and MB weren’t dropped to the bottom of the lineup in favor of favorite sons Pedroia and Youklis. Other managers would have done that (uh… Joe Torre…)

Interesting
Josh is surrounded by Yankees. Milton is surrounded by Red Sox.

interesting comment there
is the top 4 in the all star lineup really any better than the top 4 in the Rangers everyday lineup?
Warner Madrigal makes Ezequiel Astacio look downright handsome.

You can rank the order here
http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/rank?versionId=1&listId=156
The voters currently favor Josh as well…..
1. Hamilton
2. Berkman
3. Utley
4. Braun
5. Uggla
6. Sizemore
7. Morneau
8. Longoria
Has anybody seen the order that they will be batting? I hope Josh is one of the last ones in the 1st round.

Blank!
I just was informed I need to help a friend move some furniture tonight, at…......................wait….................wait for it…................................................................7:00pm.
Sigh, maybe I won’t miss too much. I really just want to see Hammy do well, if not for him I would probably skip the entire event.

You can win $10,000
by correctly predicting the winners.
(Whatever Miles predicts, do the exact opposite.)

The GREAT HAMBINO ...
shall walk away with the derby crown!
Milly I have no choice but to nickname you "The Laborer".
Every time I see you on the mound you're laboring through the inning.
You sure as hell don't labor when you hear Dunkin Donuts is closing in
15 minutes, sat there with a chocolate eclair with 5 minutes to spare.
