OT - HR Derby I'M GOING!!!

I know this is totally off topic but I'm ecstatic right now. My Dad just called me to say that he got me 2 free tickets to the HR derby tonight!!! They're corporate tickets so I wonder where I'll be sitting. I'll try to take any requests you guys might have. Should I just be taking pictures of Hambone or should I take video of him on the camera? This is the first time I'm going to a ASG or Homerun derby, I wonder what it's going to be like. It starts at 7pm, what time do you think they open the doors?

I was at the HR derby when it was in Arlington in 1995. Kenny Rogers tossed me a baseball. One of my favorite baseball days ever.

I sat in the 2nd row of upper deck home run porch.

I just found out

that the tickets are luxury suite.

I’m going to be calling friends to see if they want to go but they all work. I should be getting tickets at around 3:30pm in Newark NJ and I’ll be taking the PATH to World Trade Center. If I don’t find anyone to go, is anyone close enough to where they have enough time to meet me at around 5pm WTC. From there, we can take the 4 subway to Yankee Stadium. I wish I would be able to get there earlier but this is all happening last minute.

If you think you can go, email me your # at DPiedade@hotmail.com and I’ll call if I can’t find anyone.

I don’t expect any payment either since I’m getting the tickets free. So you might get a free luxury suite seat for free :-).

speaking of the all-star game

anyone that has been to a rangerss game lately, do they have any all-star stuff for our players that are in it at the gift shops? i was looking on line and the only thing i can find are the bp jerseys, and i don’t want to drop 120. on another jersey.

Yeah

They have T-shirts at the grand slam gift shop. Yesterday they were on two racks right by the door inside the ballpark by the center field gate. They have the AL team logo on the front and the player name/number on the back.

He’s getting to go the HR derby, which is pretty awesome… and nobody ever looks at the fanshots. I think this was worth it.

Well I found someone to go.

I didn’t want to flood the other thread with this type of talk since the other thread is a prediction thread.

Some time tomorrow, I will be able to add pictures on here so you all can see (well the best pics) so this thread will be useful. If I think I have a lot of good pics but too many to list on here. I can put a few on here and whoever wants the rest, I can send a mass email with the rest.
