Newberg Report "In Their Footsteps" Column: The 1B

This week’s edition focuses on the first baseman – my favorite from Rangers franchise history and who from the current system might best project to fill that roster spot in the future.

Palmeiro..
Not to mention he played here a lot longer, put up better numbers and was part of a playoff team.

Palmeiro
Very good player. Just not a big fan.
I’d have picked Nuschler before Raffy.

Davis
I had almost forgotten about Broussard thanks to Chris Davis. How impressive does his debut look especially compared to Broussard’s “display” this season?
Answer: Very
