Yahoo's Assesment of MLB Teams "Rangers"

"Texas Rangers: How can a team with four All-Star position players with a combined 61 home runs, 262 RBIs and a .315 batting average be anything less than a bona fide contender? How can a team with a 5.10 earned-run average and a 1.58 WHIP with 100 home runs allowed be four games over .500 at the All-Star break?:"

an adequate summary

1.60 WHIP?

Jeebus. Can’t say I’m surprised though…

Plaschke: Scioscia, the former Dodgers catcher, is the model manager who has created an atmosphere of winning.
Junior:It's that simple. Mike Scioscia brings a Glade Plug-In labeled "Winning™" into the clubhouse and everyone who breathes it in gains 15 points in average.

Blalock Move

I hope that the Blalock move was made to showcase him at 3rd for the Twins. Lots of young arms on that team. I think that Liriano is out of the question. I’d be happy with any one of: Kevin Slowley, Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn, or Tyler Robertson. Hell, with our staff, I’d even settle for Boof Bosner.

Boof Bonser

Is like a Kevin Millwood starter kit, only he’s never going to be as good as Millwood has been in the past. Big sloppy body, doesn’t go deep into games, gives up a lot of hits and isn’t that great at preventing those runners from scoring: 5.17 ERA, 1.456 WHIP in 355 career innings so far, and a career ERA+ of 83. That is the definiton of meh.
