Lineup

Josh Hamilton is better than you.

by Longhorn on Jul 18, 2008 6:02 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

You beat me

I. Kinsler 2b
M. Young ss
J. Hamilton cf
M. Bradley dh
M. Byrd rf
H. Blalock 3b
B. Boggs lf
C. Davis 1b
T. Teagarden c

Looking forward…

Go Strangers.

by hightowersmith on Jul 18, 2008 6:03 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Just for fun in September

Keep that lineup with the following changes…

Borbon in CF
Mayberry in RF
MaxRam at DH
Hurley Pitching

Then all 10 players in the starting lineup will be guys who made their major league debut with the Rangers. And all but 2 of them (Young/Ramirez) have only played for the Rangers organization.

Let me have a diablo sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and make it fast I'm in a God damned hurry!

I think he's saying he enjoyed it...

and that the movie is incredibly dark, which it is.

Awesome movie! I’ve been following the movie for 2 years, and I thought the movie was better than the hype!

Go Rangers!

Why so serious?

by Joker'z on Jul 18, 2008 6:47 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yes, it was great.

All the critics who are calling it a perfect movie are right, it’s great. Not a great comic book movie (it’s hardly a super hero movie), but a great movie, period. Godfather great.

But it’s also very, very depressing.

by philkid3 on Jul 18, 2008 7:14 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Awesome!

I’ll bring a few razor blades lolipops to pass out to the crowd.

I just said that...

About the Oscar in the fanshot thread on the movie.

I really liked Jack as the Joker in Burton’s Batman, but this is like a completely different villian. I loved how dark the movie was and Ledger was just great.

by DSheppard on Jul 18, 2008 7:14 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yup

Getting home at 3:00 am sucked but it was worth it. There’s a lot of depths to it. If you just like action, it’s got it. If you want to think a little, that’s there too. And it looks great (which is one of my prime things). Music was very good. Ledger was awsome. I used to read comic books and graphic novels (the Frank Miller “Dark Knight” was the best) so maybe it just worked for me, but I think most people will really like it.

My only complaint – I wish Bale wouldn’t do so much of a husky low whispery voice all the time when he’s Batman. Kinda silly. Also, Maggie Gyllenzxkjw is not a leading lady (everybody shutup).

Nothing pithy here. Please move long.

That's pretty much my point

I mentioned it during the movie, and when my girlfriend and I got home, she agreed. I said although Katie Holmes couldn’t act, at least she looked decent.

Maybe I am just crazy

But I think she is actually pretty attractive.

Maybe she isn’t as drop dead gorgeous as some other airhead actresses, but at least she can act. Katie Holmes looks like a robot in every movie she’s in, even before she got brainwashed by scientology.

Has anyone here seen Secretary? Gyllenhall in amazing in it, and it is a pretty sensual movie too.

Salty has a bad bug right now and got winded after three swings today. They did not put him on the dl so that tea can join the olympic team on tuesday.

Holy shit!

Been off the net for a while…I am sure this is a repost, but:

Brandon McCarthy is going to Triple-A Oklahoma next week and will make his first rehab appearance there. He should throw about 60 pitches in four innings. ... Oh, and by the way, Kason Gabbard is out for the year with a bone spur in his elbow.
