Kason Gabbard out for the year

According to this Kason Gabbard will miss the rest of the season because he had a bone spur removed from his elbow. Daniels said he will be part of the plan whether he be in the rotation or in the pen.

Although Gabbard struggled i still think he can be a solid pitcher next year based on how he pitched in April. If he can get back to full strength and hit his spots then there is no reason he cant be a solid #4 or #5.

well

that explains why he lost his ability to pitch.

Should be a lefty in the pen

Don’t give me the “he can’t warm up quickly enough” stuff. Teach him.

Plenty of starters make the conversion – including plenty with history of arm trouble – that’s not an excuse. He can’t get RHH out, he can’t get through a lineup more than once. Seems like a reliever to me.

righties

last year righties had a .696 ops against him.
he was screwed up from day 1 this year…

the preceding post is not nearly as negative or insulting as you think it is

ya i agree with you about him going to the pen

unless we dont have any other options but most likely we’ll lots of options

Kinsler is the best player on the rangers(done), BENOIT SUCKS(done), bring up Harrison(done),new: Put Nippert in rotation, Mendoza to the pen, get Feliz to AAA by the end of the year, trade cat

bullpen

i thought he wasn’t an option there since connor came out this week or last and said he takes too long to warm up

all i’m saying is the pitching coach said he wasn’t an option for the bullpen

what the hell?

bout damn time the guy got injured for the season???

the Guy has been more than what was expected, besides when he was injured

A Very Useful Arm

I Thank God he was involved in the trade just for causing Sexson to charge the mound and taking on his helmet throw which started the Infamous Tom Grieve Rant…

Just another reason to hate Richie Sexson

Although I agree that Gabbard probably would have gotten worse over time, Sexson probably ruined what was to that point a very solid season for Gabbard.

Yeah

He was never the same after that. 1.85 ERA in 24 innings before the Sexson incedent, 7.11 ERA in 31 innings afterwards. Not to totally excuse his shitty pitching in May and June, but I don’t think that’s a complete coincedence.

Think he can sue Sexson...

if he’s never the same after that for loss of wages?
