Heading to Bakersfield
So tomorrow (Saturday) I'm heading to Bakersfield to watch the Blaze take on the Visalia Oaks. I'll be sure to get pictures.
Now, I checked the Web site and the promo is "Christmas in July" and as it turns out, the "Christmas" gift is an autograph session with the players from 6:30 to 7 p.m. (game time is 7:30). For $8 I can get a card set and have the players sign them... my question is, who should I especially try to get autographs from? Should I have them signed to me or to Lone Star Ball (if they're personalized)? How in-depth do you want me to get about the game? I don't have to hit the road to get there until about 4 p.m. to get there in time, so I'd have time to pick up a score sheet at Big 5 if need be.
Any tips/suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Just as long as you take pretty pictures
I’m sure your fanpost on the game will get plenty of recs. I’d still like to get out sometime in the future, (though that seems unlikely the way my life has gone of late) so a description of what the park is like and where to sit would be cool.
Re: the autographs, you gotta get Kasey Kiker if at all possible. The other sigs to pick up would probalby be Marcus Lemon, Beau Jones, Derek Holland, Johnny Whittleman and Manny Pina.

Never been
to Sam Lynn Ballpark to see the Blaze play so I wouldn’t know of any tips. You ever need any tips for games in Frisco or OKC let me know.
As far as the autographs of Blaze players… Hell, get the whole team :).
I would try and get Whittleman, Kiker, Poveda, Holland, Jones, Phillips, Gac, Lemon, and Tracy. Especially try to get Johnny Whittleman to sign for you and then get him to sign something to LSB. That would be really cool.

i hope you keep it up and cheer! cheer! cheer!
maybe it will get him hot and he can blow the doors off. always liked him, maybe not in a “future stars game” like him but always had my eye on him. this is an important year for him in my mind.

suggestion:
burn a mix CD for your trip…
...include the Dwight Yoakum / Buck Owens hit “Streets Of Bakersfield”...
...the Doobie Brothers’ “China Grove”...
...and the ultimate head-bobber… Snoop Dogg’s “The Vapors”...

Long Beach Cali
Driving through the LBC would require me to go hours and hours out of my way… I’ll be going from Atascadero 10 miles north to Paso Robles, across Highway 46 to the 99, then down into Bakersfield. Should be about two hours.

Korn
May want to add them to the mixtape since you are going to Bakersfield, but that would mean you would have to listen to them so maybe not.

Korn kicks ass
You must be too damn old to appreciate greatness.
Also Inkara we must have an in depth report on Holland’s badassery. He was all kinds of filty it sounds like. Your impressions of Lemon would also not be remiss.
