Benoit
Now time for Benoit to come in and murder his family…..........metaphorically speaking.
So, Joaquin Benoit coming in...

And that was even with the valve at the bottom of the thing that lets out the water to keep it at one level.
I would love....
to lock Benoit in a room and fill it with bees…
then he will know how much it hurts to watch him pitch
i still like benoit
but hes obviously struggling so you have to use him intelligently.
5th inning or not, that was the important situation in the game not the 7th inning with nobody out or whenever you might use someone else.

Maybe it's the feed that's the issue
But I’m not hearing any announcers, for English or Spanish, just the sounds of the ballpark.
Anyone else having this issue? Apologies if it’s been covered in the old thread.
audio fine here, prolly the yanks brocasters in shock

Believe it or not...
I’m actually getting the FSW feed.
I was pretty amazed, because probably a good 80% of the time(and the previous two games of the series), DirecTV uses the other team’s broadcast.

Yep
And you can actually insert Eric Hurley in there, because it was Ponson’s DFA’ing that made his callup possible.

Folks...
C.J., Eddie and Frankie are pretty much unavailable today.
You’ve got 3 innings still to go, at least, for the win.
You’ve got Madrigal, Rupe, and Wright in the pen. Although Rupe went 2 innings yesterday, so he may not be available.
When you are hollering for Benoit to be yanked, understand, you are asking for Madrigal and Wright to go the final 4 innings.
So you're saying...
Chris Davis isn’t so beastly that he could throw an inning or two?
Stars in a Texas Night Sky, a Dallas Stars blog from a fan's perspective.
Wright should be able to go multiple innings
I’d rather have taken that chance than seen Benoit pitch that inning, but… whatever. We got out of it, that’s all that matters.

another reason not to do that, warmed up or not.
2 games over 500 please.
I'm fine with Benoit coming on to start the inning
I don’t like him coming in to put out a fire… seems like they could’ve put in Fx2, our best fireman, to get that one out and then put in Benoit to start the new inning.
Guess who is up?!?!?!?!

Now is as good a time as any. Wtf is your picture on here.
Joe Morgan: (On Jay Bruce) I think he will. He brings energy to the team, and besides that, he is a pretty good hitter.
Ken Tremendous: I like that the #1 reason he will help his team is: "energy," and the distant #2 reason is: "ability to hit baseballs."
Ahh
Thanks for the clarification. I’ve read that.

By the way...
Do you know any back story to that picture? I assume it is a screen-cap from a movie, but even that is a guess.

Who would you have put in?
"Would you mind walking a time or two so I could drive in some runs"? Milton Bradley
i dont know
jose canseco?
this team is now 0-6 when trying to sweep, and it’s my recollection (very selective i might add) that wash has coached us out of more than one of those games.
by sam in so cal on Jul 2, 2008 8:54 PM CDT up reply actions
it's not like he's been terrible
Abreu was lucky
The walk to Arod was not good
but even the pitch to Giambi was not grooved
and as I write this Posada rips one – so f’ me
meh, it was a fluke that the first guy wasnt an out.
and then a-rod and giambi. not exactly an easy debut.

maybe what we need is a brawl
we have some pretty good size on the field right now
Elizardo Ramirez......
this will be the same situation as him. basically take one for the team to save the bullpen.
Game Over.

WHAT A NOVEL FUCKING IDEA!
WARM UP WRIGHT! WOW! WHAT A GREAT IDEA!

NIXON: NOW MORE THAN EVER
i guess we are saving Wright for mop up duty...
why not pitch wright first….and then if he blows it bring in Warren for mop up duty…
You are correct.
Electrician would’ve been the better play as well as he’s been pitching lately. Although I’m not pissed Warner got in the game… baptism by fire.

If Wright was available tonight, he should have started the 7th
Washington seriously might be the dumbest person in the Bronx right now.
He would have faced the bottom of the order
I would rather have him face the bottom of the order in the 8th than the middle of the order in the 7th.
He was supposed to
close tonight…learn up a bit, huh?

way to waste a gritty performance by this team....
this team would have been sky high sweeping the yankees.
you know, in retrospect
if you have wright for one inning and madrigal for one inning, dont you let wright face the middle of the order?
2 games over 500 please.
I would, and you would
but Washington is too stupid to realize that. We have played better baseball this year in spite of Washington, not because of him.
Ugh...
did a little league team replace the Rangers this inning?
Stars in a Texas Night Sky, a Dallas Stars blog from a fan's perspective.
I wouldn't be surprised if the next guy walks and keeps on going to second base
and then the Rangers fail to throw him out, and if they try the run scores.
all this talk about the bullpen being gased...
we have an off-day tomoroow…
it seems like someone could have sucked it up and pitched
