CONGRATS TO THE RANGERS
I looked at the standings and I see the Rangers are breathing down the mighty Oakland A"S neck only 91/2 games out of first.Well atleast your tatooed comeback player of the year finished second in homerun derby, and your solid second baseman gave us homefield in the series by scoring the winning run tuesday.just another long summer in the oven you call Arlington.well atleast football season starts in 6 weeks.

If you have nothing better to do...
You need a job. And if you already have a job, you need a second one.
Plaschke: Scioscia, the former Dodgers catcher, is the model manager who has created an atmosphere of winning.
Junior:It's that simple. Mike Scioscia brings a Glade Plug-In labeled "Winning™" into the clubhouse and everyone who breathes it in gains 15 points in average.

I appreciate that. Thanks
i got a really good severance package so no worries. i worked in the subprime portion of auto finance and there have been a lot of layoffs at the big companies. Some were only given a two week pay check and told to hit the road. I was pretty lucky. I’m not looking forward to the job search though. I’m already beaten down and it’s barely started…

I've got no problem with rivalries...
But I do agree that when people take it to this level, it’s extremely pathetic…
Your life is so boring and unfulfilling (is that even a word) that you’ve gotta spend excess energy going out of your way to dump on a rival? Get a life, go outside, find a girlfriend… There’s gotta be better way to spend your time…

Where are the Raiders and Rams?
At least we’ve had a professional football team since 1995.

Since when has Justin Morneau been playing second base for us?
Is he saying Morneau is solid second baseman?
Is he saying Michael Young is a solid second baseman?
Is he saying Ian Kinsler is a solid second baseman?
He’s wrong on all three counts.

Ranger greatness
You’re right, northtexan, he took three strikes on Morneau scoring the winnign run.
What’s real heady to think of is Ranger responsibility, though, for the AL having Home Field Advantage in the World Series since 2003.
2003—Garrett Anderson is named MVP even though the AL doesn’t win the game if Hank Blalock doesn’t crush a shot off of Eric Gagne late in the game to take a lead.
2004—Soriano goes wild and leads the AL offense to a crushing of the NL.
2006—Michael Young triples down the right field line off of Trevor Hoffman to account for the tying and winning runs.
2008—Michael Young’s Sacrifice Fly.
In the meantime, there also was a little collateral damage inflicted by the likes of Teixeira.
Yankees, Red Sox (twice), White Sox, and Tigers should be grateful that the Rangers can be so clutch. (Maybe someday the Angels can be the beneficiary, as well.)

Michael Young in 2006
Leyland was so thankful for Young winning the game and giving the Tigers home field advantage that the next year he didn’t even put him in the game.

our secondbaseban ian kinsler didnt score the winning run and we're only 5.5 games out of the wild card
Kinsler is the best player on the rangers(done), BENOIT SUCKS(done), bring up Harrison(done),new: Put Nippert in rotation, Mendoza to the pen, get Feliz to AAA by the end of the year, trade cat

it i hate the Angels or the Yankees more this year. Especially hate Soscia (Dugout ball and strike caller), Torii, Nim-rod and now MATHIS THE PUNK WHO IS OWNED BY MAXRAM.

it is too bad...
that some ppl can’t respect other teams and fans. I have been a baseball fan for 40 years and I can remember when the Angels were one of the biggest jokes in the league. So, it would do this joker well to remember that in a few years the Angels will be looking up at the Rangers.
I can’t figure out why ppl can’t visit each others blogs and get along with each other. I enjoy visiting all the different blogs here and learning from the fans what they see in their teams. Sometimes I ask questions and always do so respectively because we all share one thing in common, we love baseball.
I’ve watched the Rangers several times this year and they sure look like they are heading in the right direction. Another year or two and with a couple of moves I think the Rangers will be a team right at the top.
I visiting from Bleed Cubbie Blue and I enjoy reading Lone Star Ball. I wish you all and the Rangers the best for this season and beyond. I remember when Washington moved to Arlington. I’ve seen the Rangers, and all other MLB teams have big winning seasons and bad seasons. Let the joker above laugh now, in a few years he won’t be laughing for his team, like all teams, will take its turn at rebuilding. Have fun watching these young guys come up and please know not all fans of other teams are jokers or idiots. :)

wow! my comment is highlighted in green! LOL
Thanks for the kind comments everybody. I will try to post more often…. please know they will be proactive and hopefully intelligent and thought provoking.
What a bunch of impressive bats you have. Man, some big offense. I saw a bit of last night's game, waiting for the Cubs to come on ya know. Hamilton came through again.
Yup, beat the OTHER team from Chicago.. LOL… Moved into 2nd place too! Unlike the joker above I am serious when I say cool! Good for the Rangers! :)
As for Cubs fans being smart….. Thank you for the very nice compliment! :) We sure are a patient lot I can tell you that. Just keep winning Rangers!!! Catch those Angels!

He hasn’t chimed in for a few days. Maybe he’s actually getting some of that college experience (even though it is summer school).
