We Need Your Help!
Hey Rangers fans. My friend and I are currently on the tail end of a 75 day roadtrip where we are attempting to go to all 30 Major League stadiums. We have been filming the whole experience for a series of documentary shorts we hope to release by the end of the season. We’re looking for help from the fans to get some ideas for our film project. We have been looking for stories that are not so much about the players or the actual game on the field, but human interest stories about the people who work around the game and the fans who are the heart of every franchise. Some examples of what we have done so far include stories on the kayaking community outside AT&T Park in San Francisco, the saxophone players outside Busch Stadium in St. Louis, and a famous hotdog vendor outside Fenway Park in Boston. We have unique stories for every stadium we have been to but continue to look for interesting takes in every city. If anyone has any ideas about what you, the fan, would want to hear about in a video about your team please let us know. You can check out our project at www.basecrawl.com and shoot us an e-mail if you have any ideas. Thanks for the help and we look forward to seeing your team.

Chuck Morgan
A major plus for every Rangers fan is Chuck Morgan, PA announcer and VP In-Park Entertainment. He is the best in the business and very fan friendly; really cares about the game experience for the fan.

Hot Dog Vendor
Is that hot dog vendor still around that says “Haaaaaat Daaaawwwwgs” all crazy-like? That description may not narrow the field to some, but if you’ve heard the guy, you know exactly who I’m referencing. That guy was great.

Probably the happiest man I’ve ever seen.

Yea, that guy was great
I used to see him at all kinds of events. Circus, minor league hockey, I think even the Mavs game. I have not seen him in about 5 years though.

Fan Fixtures
Netman. Zonk. The Cookie Lady. Proximity to the new Cowboys Stadium. Maybe the only MLB ballpark you can’t get to using public transportation. The legendary heat during part of the season. Chuck Morgan and his story. Lexus valet parking. Bobby Valentine’s restaurant (used to be two of them). The gentility of playing for Texas, making Carl Everett, Milton Bradley, Vicente Padilla see it as a happy place.

ZONK, or THE COOKIE LADY
for sure, these two, or maybe one of the most overlooked Rangers fan outthere Charley Pride, he can be seen behind the Home dugout on the first row of most home night games, I think he has owned those tickets ever since the organization moved here! He also goes to Spring Training every year and performs for the players, so you should definately try to look him up!

Jim Knox
Now, I can’t believe I’m saying this, b/c he’s annoying and geeky and a whip, but Jim Knox is always going around the park doing the human interest peices, has any one ever done a human interest peice on Jim Knox? He’s pretty ripped, does he work out out of fear of someone jumping him for being so annoying as he walks through the concourse to get to his next beat down story? Is he at the top of his career ladder? Is this what he aspires to be?
