OT

Former Ranger Great Armando Galarraga has a perfect game through 6 vs the Royals.
Jinx! Jinx! Jinx!
That should put an end to that.

say it aint so, joe!

Poor KC

First 19 runs, and now this

Plaschke: Scioscia, the former Dodgers catcher, is the model manager who has created an atmosphere of winning.
Junior:It's that simple. Mike Scioscia brings a Glade Plug-In labeled "Winning™" into the clubhouse and everyone who breathes it in gains 15 points in average.

My favorite

thing about Millwood’s outing is that after all the work Wash and the other starters did to make sure the bullpen was fresh, Millwood comes in and wrecks it all again

I wouldn't mind seeing

him again against lefies. His sample size was so small and he was in a slump. Give the Murph a chance to prove he can handle lefties.

by Hull Fan on Jul 23, 2008 2:59 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

That's more a product

of a long period of free swinging to start the year, though

His minor league record indicates that at the very least, he should be able to get a .70-.80 pt difference between BA and OBP. If he does that, and continues to slg in the .460s (and maybe even improve), he’ll be fine as a starter

Charlie Donovan: Most of these guys never had a prime.

Davis

Nice to see him start to get some multi-hit games.

"An effortless 98" - Scott Gardner after Neftali Feliz's first AA pitch

by RangerMad on Jul 23, 2008 3:04 PM CDT   0 recs

caught stealing

So if Davis doesn’t get caught stealing then we would have Hamilton coming to bat with 2 outs and 2 men in scoring position right? Outs on the base paths really frustrate me. I’m all for small ball against ace pitchers when hits are hard to come by, but in a game like this? No thank you.
