A new rumor regarding A’s closer Huston Street seems to surface daily, and Friday’s speculation du jour, courtesy of a scout working Oakland’s game against the visiting Rangers, had the A’s sending Street to the Dodgers for third baseman Andy LaRoche “and change.” LaRoche and Street both participated in pre-game warmups with their respective teams Friday night, though, so if a deal is indeed made, it wouldn’t be announced until late Friday night or at some point over the weekend. LaRoche, a 24-year-old right-handed hitter, is batting .214 with two homers, three RBIs and a .333 on-base percentage in 26 games with Los Angeles this season.
