Kotchman pulled in LAA, Teixeira very likely traded
per Stark
"Angels first baseman Casey Kotchman was pulled off the field during pregame warmups this afternoon at Fenway Park. And there are strong indications he is about to be traded to the Braves for Mark Teixeira, according to a source with knowledge of those discussions. Details are still being finalized, and additional, lesser names are expected to be involved. But Kotchman for Teixeira is the core of this deal."
Well, this would definitely be interesting. Given the surely high price, I would like this from a rangers standpoint. If I were an angels fan I'd probably like it too depending on just how the price is, that team with Tex would move from very good to great.

Because...
This makes the team with the best record in baseball EVEN BETTER. Scary for this year.
LAA has enough money to resign him too, so if they win the Series this year with him, that makes the prospects of him signing a little better there than they would have been.
Don’t get me wrong, I hate Tex after the way he acted. But he’s a damn good player, one which I don’t like to have to face a lot with a division rival.

Maybe best for the Rangers in the long run
Tex to LAA and they win the World Series. Tex gets his championship and then moves on to the highest bidder.
In the meantime, the Angels lose a good, young player and whatever other prospects go to Atlanta. Yes, they get two picks, but that is always a crap shoot
