Independence Day things
Quiet day out there today.
Evan Grant looks at some of the Ranger weirdness that has ensued at Camden Yards.
Anthony Andro talks about Josh Rupe solidifying his hold on a bullpen role.
And T.R. Sullivan has some bloggy notes up.

I really like how Rupe is holding his own in the pen,
I wish they wouldn have used him on Weds. instead of bringing in Benny. We might have swept the Yanks then.

Instead of Benoit?
How’s about Madrigal?
Major screw up by Washington. Sometimes I wonder what this guys is thinking when it comes to his pitching moves. He bought Benoit in with Posada at the plate. Posada was like 6-13 career off Benoit. He did the same thing with Benoit in the Houston series when he brought Jack in vs. Berkman and Lee. Combined they were something like 10-23 vs. him with several home runs.
Talk about putting putting guys in situations whewre they can succeed…........I really wonder about Washington’s intelligence level and if he really pays attention to detail.
His big mistake in that Yankee game had nothing to do with Benoit. He should have brought Jamey Wright in instead of Madrigal.

oh haha ok I will...
well I don’t know if you’re still planning on going to Mexico though but be careful down there if you are. There have been lots of shark attacks on the Mexican west coast especially south of Puerto Vallarta. Apparently they are blaming it on the Mexican drug cartel which keeps dumping bodies in the ocean down there …..so humans have become an acquired taste.
Pirate day huh? May I suggest A J Murray for your best man :)

Never forget.....
My first baseball season living in Baltimore. Had the company tickets for all four games. Rangers were 60-46 coming in and proceeded to get swept by a terrible O’s team. Half game lead was a 2.5 game deficit when the flew out of town. Completely sucked.

So....
Jose Reyes confronted an announcer haven’t heard any talk nationally about it. Bradley on the other hand blows up over night….....
Jose Reyes and Keith Hernandez had to be separated on the Mets New York Mets ’ charter plane Sunday night after a tense confrontation over Hernandez’s critical comments about the All-Star shortstop. A team source described the situation aboard the plane as “very heated.” One player told The Post that he thought Reyes and the popular former Met – now an analyst for the club’s SNY TV network – were close to exchanging punches until others stepped in.

Typical
Bradley gets trashed for doing nothing by a broadcaster, never even makes it up to the booth to talk to the guy, and everyone says he’s a trainwreck. Reyes actually is about to fight a broadcaster who was critical of him and you don’t hear a peep about it.
