When the hell is Chris Davis going to hit 5th?
I’m getting tired of Murphy, aka “the left-handed black hole” batting there.
And why the hell is Crapalanotto DHing instead of MAX?

Maybe as a reward
for his last game which was his first start in like a week. Maybe its try and showcase him a bit for a trade by showing he can hit good righty starters.
By 2028, Mark Teixeira will be in the HOF.

Bah
He has no value aside from that of a bench peice to an NL club. Max needs more playing time, or he shouldn’t be on this roster.

Davis and Max
You don’t DH you backup catcher. Davis and Murphy should be swapped in the lineup. At least Byrd is not starting vs a RHP.

Yes you do DH your back-up catcher....
its just most teams don’t because their backup is too terrible of a hitter to DH.
Its worth the risk of taking the 1 in 50 chance that your catcher gets hurt and your pitcher has to make a couple of plater app.
Washington makes WAY to big a deal of this.

...what’s his deal?... is he set to come off the DL sometime soon?
this bullpen could use another long-arm… in my estimation.

Question.
Better leadoff hitter: Grady Sizemore or Kinsler?
by LiamP on Jul 4, 2008 3:08 PM CDT 0 recs
Kinsler
Less HR power, but his doubles make up for that. He hits better for contact and he is the most efficient base stealer in the league right now.

Hamilton
now has walked in 7 straight games with a total of 8 in that span. It looks like Hamilton is finally starting to just stop swinging at bad pitches and being fine taking the walk.

Guthrie
if i recall correctly, i think this is the guy AJM wanted to draft that year?
by Longhorn on Jul 4, 2008 4:00 PM CDT 0 recs
Nah
I thought Guthrie was too old (he’d spent 2 years on a mission, so he was 23 when he was drafted) and didn’t have a high enough ceiling.
I wanted Bobby Brownlie, who the Cubs drafted, and who was derailed with shoulder problems.
