no...
...this is what will happen…
a week from now… Mendoza will be lights out, and Nippert will implode.
a week after that… Mathis will come back strong, and Mendoza and Nippert will be… in Morris’ words… “not very good”...
then… a week later, Mathis will give up 10 runs, and Nippert will come in and pitch well.

Twice, actually. The stadium gun showed a 100 and a 101, but scouts downstairs had him at 101 twice.
SS Elvis Andrus drove in a pair of runs with a single that delivered 1B Thomas Berkery from third and CF Julio Borbon, who nearly passed Berkery.
Through four shutout innings, Feliz has surrendered three hits (one of which could have easily been an error on 3B Adam Fox). He’s fanned four and not issued a walk. He’s thrown 54 pitches so far, but I don’t have time to count balls and strikes right now.
His stuff isn’t as good as Edinson Volquez’s was when he arrived in Frisco - fastball not as lively and the change is not nearly as good - but he’s not as erratic either. He also does a better job of keeping the ball down than Edinson did at this stage.
Go comment over there, maybe we will get more updates.

That is amazing. I knew he could hit in the upper 90s with relative ease, but that is some crazy heat. Volquez never had that type of velocity and doesn’t look to have anywhere near the control Feliz has.

Okay
What do you do if Davis keeps struggling the next two weeks, and Hank Blalock is ready to come back?
Keep Davis as the starting first baseman
and let him take his lumps. If the Rangers are 11.5 out after this series, why not let Davis ride it out…
send him to AAA for a couple weeks

3rd time through the order
This is generally where your secondary stuff is really needed especially if you haven’t used it much the first two times through. Thats why I, and alot of other people, predicted 5 innings because thats when you get to the third time through the order

So, I'm not really watching the game anymore.
Just glancing at the score. Is Nippert doing that well, or are the Angels just nowhere near as good as Mendoza made them look?
Don’t answer that.
Mendoza made them look like shit...
Nippert is making them look spectacular.
Now reverse that.

nippert has good stuff
theres no reason he shouldnt be able to have a few good innings v a righty heavy pretty poor lineup. mendoza just sucked.

i think...
i am really going to like having him and andrus in the same lineup!! We could lead the league in steals!!!

It’s worth the risk. In a game like this, one run can be the difference.

"I really think JD is probably going to be one of the best things ever to happen to the Rangers." - Longhorn, May 27th, 2007
how?
he was gonna be out at 2nd no matter what and he didn’t block Kotchman. I think he thought it was a line drive for a second

well kotchman did double clutch when he did it

I’m praising Kins here.
"I really think JD is probably going to be one of the best things ever to happen to the Rangers." - Longhorn, May 27th, 2007
I know
Im just wondering how what he did was smart? He didn’t block the fielder or anything he just kinda stood there. He actually almost allowed Kotchman to just tag him which would have made the double play easier to try and turn
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.

holding up enough to make the fielder stop for a split second
to decide whether to tag or throw to 2nd…
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.
ElectricOkra.com
he hesitated
so that kotch doesn’t automatically just throw it to 2nd, he double clutched instead and that move alone made it so that the DP wouldn’t be made…thus allowing Murph to hit that homerun.
"I really think JD is probably going to be one of the best things ever to happen to the Rangers." - Longhorn, May 27th, 2007
Hamilton
Hamilton was beating that out no matter how many times Kotchman did or didn’t clutch. A 3-6-1 DP is really hard to turn and Hamilton beat it by about 5 steps. I get what he was trying to do but I ust don’t consider it a smart play.
Bryan Smith (12:17:17 PM PT): Justin Smoak and Josh Hamilton. The AL West might just have found their Bash Brothers, v. 2.0.
Okay
Ian just make up for any bad decision he’s ever made or any kind of lack of concentration with that little move there.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. - Lance Armstrong
that AB was even
more horribler

that was just stupid...
...Santana was throwing first pitch strikes early in the game… now, he’s relying more on his off-speed stuff…

hey we're still in this just need our bullpen to keep it up
The funny thing about my back is that its located on my cock.
Kinsler
loves the bunt….his success rate is amazing. How do we do that? How do we suck like that. Fuckkkkkkkkkkk
has anyone else
noticed the ridiculous amount of first pitches hamilton swings at? Also, it seems like he is topping everything.
He seriously is our own Vlad
Great hitter, but needs more plate discipline badly.

He may be able to go one more although with it being a close game we may want to use other guys

My question
Does he have to register with TBIA before getting that close to those kids?
by Adam J. Morris on Jul 7, 2008 9:10 PM CDT up reply actions
So
5 2/3 3h 1er 4ks….. Nippert needs to be starting.
"Mr. Hicks, you watch, I'm going to be a leader on this team." Kinsler
well you cant put that much stock into one start
but id rather he or harrison go over mendoza.
2 games over 500 please.
Rivera
I imagine you probably said that about Rivera in NY a few games back but we did. The Rangers have been suprisingly effective against closers in recent years. But I agree KRod is pretty untouchable

Because we have to be pulling a Micheal Phelps on that badboy full steam ahead.
Well...
