Here is an interesting look at the MLB viewing market. Looking at the interest the Washington Nationals are drawing, I think baseball will fail there a third time, it seems. Rangers show a modest gain.

Other than the surprising Red Sox drop-off...
...the rest of the ratings seem to mirror the teams’ seasons. The Nationals and Mariners stink, so do their ratings. The Cubs and the Rays are hot and so are their viewer numbers. It’s about what you’d expect…
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

Interest in the Angels has dropped as well
I guess when your stuck in First Place, it becomes old news and not too compelling.

at least
they’re not as bad as the angels and nationals.
what the heck is wrong with LA fans?
rangers are that low, but actually grew? hmm
knew the cards were popular, just didn’t know it was that much.

but the Mariners could be swimming through turmoil... having not been to the playoffs since '01...
...and still pull in 83,000?

good point
Well, Rangers have not been to playoffs either recently, and that is what 36,000 shows I think.

Its amazing
that 53,000 people tune into the painful productions that are the Padres telecasts. And I’d have thought the angels’ viewership would have increased since Rex Hudler supposedly isn’t there anymore (anyone know if that is true???)

Ratings drops in Boston and L.A. —-> competition from the NBA playoffs/Finals?
The other drops are either disappointments or just plain bad.
Longlorious.
