OT: Olympics
so after trying to find a way to watch NBC online i finally decided to go with the NBC olympics video program (uses silverlight - like adobe flash, but microsoft) and im not sure how i feel about it... the watch 4 at once is interesting but the lack of commentary is strange
heads up: *spoilers below*
anyway just finished watching the US vs Netherlands and wow. could the US have blown it any more?
allowing a goal at 3 ' into stoppage time? redic.
adu and bradley miss next match w/ 2 yellows each
bradley took a dumb yellow for time wasting + adu's 2nd yellow was redic - foot didnt even touch goalies face...
anyway. US should have won it but completely blew it at the end.
thats all - just thought id throw up an OT diary about it.
-------------------------------------------
anyone watching it anywhere else other than the nbcolympics.com feed? i also am trying olympis on the go (tvtonic) which nbc backs...basically downloads the events for you to watch whenever...)
i wish i could find the nbc feed at night...but no luck so far (dont have TV where im living for the next month or so)
anyway, if anyone wants to talk olympics thats what this is for!

Olympics
I couldn’t believe the US blew it either- what a big win that could have been.
Nice to see my man Ryan Babel score for Holland, though.
And whoever came up with the Olympic Soccer and Olympic Basketball channels- genius.

Time Warner
Where do you live? I’m in north Dallas, and Time Warner here is carrying both channels- the soccer is channel 788, basketball is channel 789.

I live about 15 minutes north of Addison, so I’d think we would have the same Time Warner carrier.

I think the channel is only offered through the digital box. I don’t get the channel in my room thats not on the Charter box, but I get them in the living room where the box is.

Asshole.
When you put “could the US have blown it anymore” on the line below for heads up, spoilers…. we’re gonna see it. How about putting it in the title line next time? Thanks.
Aikman and Bradshaw?

Easy on the douchebag comments, spoils.
Think before you spoil next time. That’s all I’m saying. Put it in the Fanpost title or something. You had:
”..... spoilers
................. US soccer blew it”
You fixed it now, but that doesn’t piss me off any less. When I see spoilers, I’m also seeing US Soccer blew it basically connected to the same line. I didn’t want to see that, I wanted to see the actual competition later, and I’m pissed. End of story.

Maybe
I’m just an American basketball elitist, but I think that you could run any NBA team out there and have a serious chance at the gold.
Yeah, you could point to a few recent dreamteams that have sucked, but that’s more a coaching/chemistry issue, I think.

Honestly though
if I were constructing Team USA I would have at least 2-3 Americans who exclusively play intl ball. Trajan Langdon comes to mind.
