Beavan Pics

These are pictures from the same game in Peoria on Monday. Beavan pitched pretty well but did not seem dominating. He was like watching Millwood pitch when he is going well. He seemed in control and got a lot of weak hits, but wasn't overpowering people. He did strike out 5 in 6 innings of work and he gave up a massive home run to left field. I tried to capture his delivery to give you some idea of what it looks like these days and you can compare it to what you remember from his high school days.

It was impressive to see how much bigger he is than most of those other guys. The kid is just a hoss.

Any of his follow through? I think that is something that they wanted to adjust on him. Also off topic, are those image titles you last name?

Follow Through

I don’t think so, but I will check when I get home tonight. I am probably going again on Wednesday and Main should pitch, so I will try to get a lot of pics of his delivery and post them next week, now that I know how to do it.

am i naive to think

that nolan could potentially work with him to get some of his velocity back? i know he is not some elixir, but beavan just reminds me of him physically.

velocity

when i talked to him, he seemed to think it was just being tired from his 1st year.
he said he was hitting his normal velocity in spring training,
and he’s not too far off – i’m guessing he’ll get stronger and able to go longer,
i think the velocity comes back early next year.
